Silas was born to one of the top clans of the dragon race, the Audric clan. Due to his disability he was kicked, literally, off of the the mountain where he was born. He was then met with his master who taught him everything about life and trained him to be independent in this tumultuous world. Even though he is blind, Silas wants to encounter the wonders of the world.
Hello, please enjoy this book, this is my first ever piece of work I have a definitive plan on even if I don't really have an ending in the works, only the first part. I really wanted to craft the story around a blind person and what it would be like. This was kinda retconned after the drafting due to mana but it is still important to the character. I also really wanted to build a world around pirates. I'm greatly inspired by one piece in terms of story telling and world building, as well as the pirates of course, but I wanted to kind of create it like that.
I'm going to try to create the cover for the book but I'll be using a place holder for now. If I can't figure out how to do so then oh well it is what it is.
Neglected by his famously wealthy parents, Cypress Albre was forced to attend public school for the first time, in his first year of highschool. He was naturally introverted and did not make many friends. HIs found his way to video games after he overheard people talking about them at lunch. He became enthralled and spent most of his freshman year playing games and not going out, further ostracizing him from the people his age. That summer a new device was announced, the Bound, it was a device that allowed for full dive virtual reality. By the end of the summer a brand new company named Tempest came out with a no trailer announcement about the game they were creating for the new device. Cypress was instantly hooked and decided that he would try it out. He saved up for an entire years before investing a hefty chunk of money into the company to ensure he became a beta tester. Once he got access to the game it was even more insane than he could have ever expected.
To humans, daemons are simply monsters; worse than animals, violent and feral. They are beasts, no matter how human they can appear. Daemons feel no better about humans. To them, humans are savage brutes, greedy and destructive. The animosity between the races has gone on for generations, with pointless acts of violence between them. No one knows who started it all, but it probably won't end any time soon. That is just the way things are, after all. It is only natural that daemons hate humans and humans hate daemons.
As for Candor, he doesn't know much about those things. He is simply a little fox, who was found in the woods as a kit and raised by Grandfather. He just likes to eat and sleep, and play with Anthony, who came to live with Grandfather so he could go to school in the village. Anthony soon becomes his world, his playmate, his best friend, his everything.
But sometimes, he can't help but feel a little lonely. Anthony goes to school all day, and he talks and laughs and plays with the other children...
Sometimes, Candor wishes that he could be human too.
He never expected that wish to come true.
