Review Detail of Easy_Tiger in Catalyst - The Journey Begins

This is a really complex and enjoyable story. Love the depth the author has gone into creating the backstory for this crazy magical fictional universe. In very video-gamey or even anime fashion, the protagonist exists in a world where all kids who come of age must feel inside a magical boulder and be granted a weapon or a tool with which they must make use for the rest of their life. Needless to say, there is some really great and expansive world building on display. The characters are all quite colorful and unique, with appearances like anime characters with their crazy hair colors and costumes. I like how the protagonist is given certain heroic qualities very early in the piece before the main adventure even starts, rescuing a young girl from a group of bullies. It really gets the reader on his side before the action really kicks in during chapter 3. Great start so far. Loving every chapter. This one definitely has me hooked.
