Hmm, so far so good. There's this mystery about the motive of the father. Aside from that, there's something more about Kian. He was suddenly introduced so his actual relationship with Xalkren is a bit intriguing as well.

The pacing as well as the character writing is good that I found myself relating to them. There's a lack of world building but since the story is more character driven, it isn't really that much of a big deal. Though there are some minor grammar issues. they are not really that noticeable. This is a good read nonetheless.
