151Chapter 56

"No no. You can't put the streamers in front of the television. It will look tacky compared to everything else! Put them right above the door over there."

"Sir yes sir," I reply sarcastically to my pixie like sister. Alice always goes overboard with everything. I walk over to the doorway where Rosalie is standing. "She always goes overboard with parties," I said Rosalie.

Rosalie just snorts. "Wait until your wedding."

I almost freeze at the comment. Was I honestly going to marry Alex? I never it much thought about the concept of marriage. I pause before hanging the streamers up. "Please, if that ever happens, then I'm eloping."

"You most certainly will not!" Alice protests.

"Ugh, come on Alice. We don't even need to talk about this. Its not like I'm going to get married."

"Not yet, but I've seen it." Alice practically dances around the room in delight.

"So we do end up getting married," answers Alex cheekily as he suddenly appears beside me.

I try to give him the biggest glare possible. "Please, who said we were going to get married. I might actually marry someone else." I start to tease him and my comment seemed to work. I'm softly pushed against a wall as I look into his eyes.

I just watch him as he releases a growl. "The only person that you will marry is me. I will destroy any man that tries to come in between us." I smile up at him.

"Careful Alex. Your starting to sound possessive."

"What if I am? Your mine and no one else's." My heart skips a beat in delight.

"Calm down lover birds. Get back to work," Alice orders. I smirk up at Alex and kiss his cheek before pushing off of the wall and walking away from him.

I resume to helping Alice with the party decorations when Edward passes me. He goes to the window overlooking the front yard. He looks worried and scared almost. I pause and slowly make my way over to him. "Edward, what's wrong?"

Edward just sighs. "Bella graduated," he replies. From reading the books and watching the movies, I know where this is going.

"Edward, you knew this was going to happen."

"I didn't think it would come this quickly. I don't want this for her. I never wanted this for her. She wants to change sooner now."

"I understand that you don't want this for her, but you can't live without her. She's your soulmate. You almost died by leaving her behind. I'm not going to lose you. So you better get over this dilemma. It's going to happen." Edward just pauses and glances at me. I feel that there is something else lurking in his mind. "There's something else isn't there Edward."

"Victoria will be coming soon. From what you've told me, it'll be three or four days from now."

I pause in thought. "We don't know that for sure. Things have changed." Edward turns and looks at me with his golden eyes.

"How often has things changed? Are there significant changes or small changes?" My pause gives him his answer. "She'll be here soon, and that's an army that we aren't prepared for. I can't lose Bella and I can't lose you too. You are the best sister that I could ever have hoped for. I would do anything to protect you." I smile in response.

"Love you, wierdo."

"Love you too, time traveler." I laugh as Edward kisses my head. It's at that moment that headlights illuminate in the window. "Bella's here," he says instantly.

I nod. "Go, we are almost done here." He gives me one last smile before he heads out of the door. Sighing at his retreating figure; I numbly walk back to completing the final touches of Alice's masterpiece. I've been in my own bubble that the date of Victoria's untimely arrival was quickly approaching. I wasn't ready for this. I wasn't sure if I would survive after this. I know that my family will, but I shouldn't be here. I'm not supposed to exist. Will I die so that my presence will cease to exist?

"What's wrong?" I eye Jasper as he helps me hang up the final streamer.

"What do you mean," I reply nervously.

"Sophie, I can feel your emotions on the other side of the house. It's loud, almost like I can hear your thoughts. You're scared, worried, unsure. What's going on."

I step away and look at him. "Everything. Victoria is coming, and that's a bloodbath that will be coming to us. I'm not supposed to be here. What if everything goes horribly wrong. What if we don't survive this?"

"Do we survive in the books."

"Yes, but things have changed. What if this story has a different ending." Jasper calmly takes me aside, away from everyone.

"It won't. Calm down, we will be ok. You will be ok. Nothing is going to happen to you or to any of us." I'm instantly filled with a sense of calm and tranquility.

I just nod. "Ok."

Jasper gives me a small smile. "Come on. People will be arriving soon." I nod and let him lead me back over to Alice.

I see Alice talking with Bella and Edward. Bella is wearing jeans and a cute blouse. I'm jealous that she can wear comfortable clothing. Alice forced me into a black tank top with a red and black skirt. At least she let me wear black flats.

"I feel underdressed," Bella comments when she sees what me and Alice have on.

"You're perfect," disagrees Edward.

I have to agree with him. "I'm honestly jealous. General Alice forced me to wear this."

Alice just rolls her eyes. "You look fine." I look at the nightclub that Alice created in our living room. She really has outdone herself.

People soon started to arrive at the house. I wasn't really surprised by the small crowd that had arrived. No doubt everyone is coming to look inside the infamous Cullen household. The party is in full swing. Music blares throughout the house.

As the night went on, I started to enjoy the party. It was good to let loose a little. I made small talk with Jessica and Angela. It was nice to see everyone but I was soon searching for one person. There was one person that I desperately wanted to see.

I peer around a corner when hands suddenly cover my eyes. I smile at the familiar feel of ice cold hands. I remove his hands and turn around to look at him. I stare into his topaz eyes. "I was looking for you."

"Sorry, I had to talk to a certain pixie."

"Mmm. What was the conversation about."

"I told her that you needed to leave the party because there was an emergency that we had to attend to."

"And what kind of emergency would that be?"

Alex leans in and places his forehead against mine. "That you are in desperate need to get away and to spend some time alone with me." I smile a little.

"What's the result of this conversation?" Alex holds my face in his hands.

"She gave me a packed bag with your things and said to have a good time. Come on." I quickly give him a kiss and follow him towards my car that is parked outside. I don't bother to say goodbye to anyone. They know where I was going and who I was with.

I'm about to get into my car when someone calls my name. "Sophie!"

Standing behind me is none other than Paul Lahote. "Paul, what are you doing here?"

"You invited me, remember. Jacob got an invitation also."

"I thought Bella's right hook was a sign that he was uninvited," I respond dryly.

"Well, I'm here to make sure he doesn't cause any problems." He glances at me and Alex standing next to my car. "You guys are obviously going somewhere, so I won't keep you. Wanted to give you a graduation present."

What? This guy confuses me. "What? Paul.."

"Don't worry. It's not much. Here." He shoves something into my hands, and I look down to see a dreamcatcher.

I smile at it. "Paul, thank you. This is actually really perfect." I give him a quick hug before pulling away. "I'll see you later, Paul."

Paul gives Alex a hard stare. "Where are you taking her."

Alex stares angrily at Paul. "It's none of your business dog, but I'm taking her somewhere where we can be alone. Don't worry, she's not changing." Paul gives him a long stare before nodding.

"See you later, Sophie." He then turns around and heads into the house. Soon, disappearing from my sight.

"Come one. We better go before they come back out." I hop into the passenger side of the car and let Alex drive us to an unknown location.

"Where are we going?"

He gives me a sly smile. "Somewhere where we can be alone for the night. Thought the two of us could use some time alone."

"That sounds perfect." And it did. It all sounded really good. He refused to tell me where we were going. All I knew was that it was peaceful. We talked the whole time, just laughing and enjoying each others company. One hour soon turns into four hours. There weren't any landmarks to tell me where we are at. "Alex, where are we going?"

"Don't worry. We are almost there." True to his word, he pulled off of the main road. He started to drive on gravel, and he soon turned on a corner and stopped in front of a house. The house was beautiful. It was a house with wood and a wrapped around porch. It almost looked like a log cabin, yet it was elegant and modern. Lights twinkled all around it. We were surrounded by trees, so there was plenty of privacy.

"Where are we?" I step out of the car and look at the house in front of me. Alex walks over to me with my bag in his hand.

"We are on the outskirts of Snoqualmie Falls. It's peaceful and secluded. Thought we could spend a couple of days here together."

"Just me and you?"

Alex smiles at me. "Just me and you." Butterfly's start to erupt in my stomach. He takes my hand in his and leads me inside. The inside is just as beautiful as the outside. It has one floor but it's spacious. It's big. There's a big kitchen with a sitting area. Big glass windows look out into the forest. I couldn't help but feel at peace.

I walk around to look all around me. This place felt magical. I turn around and notice Alex smiling at me. "What?" He sets my bag on the ground and shakes his head. He walks over to me.

"Nothing. You're just so beautiful." I don't think as he places his lips on mine. I wrap my arms around his neck and kiss him back. I finally felt at home. I break away for a second and see the longing in his eyes. A longing that I've also felt.

"I'm going to use the bathroom," I blurt out.

"Ok. I'll wait for you." I watch as he goes to grab my bag. I calmly take it from him and go into the bathroom that is attached to the bedroom. I quickly shut the door. I sigh into my reflection.

Was this what I wanted? Was I ready for this next step. I never did this in my other world. This would be my first time. I run a hand down my face. Calm down Sophie. I take another deep breath.

I use the bathroom and peel out of the outfit Alice forced me to wear. I open my bag and the first thing I see is black material. It's only upon further inspection that it's black lingerie. "Alice," I gasp. The material falls from my hands. I can't help but to look at the material. Of course, she saw this. I sigh. I could do this. I was ready and I wanted Alex. I was in love with this man. Before I can chicken out, I put the material on. It was cute and practical. I smile at my reflection and take a deep breath. I was finally sure of what I wanted.

I carefully open the bathroom door to find Alex on the bed reading a book. I didn't look at the book. It was irrelevant. The only thing that mattered to me was the man before me. Our eyes connected, and I quickly saw the gold leaving his eyes. I walk over to him as he speeds over to me. I sigh and lean into his hand. Before I can think, I slam my lips on his. All thoughts leave my mind, and I quickly give in to my desires. I wrap my legs around his waist just as I'm softly slammed against the wall. He breaks away from me and looks into my eyes.

He looks at me with desire. "Are you sure. I want you to be absolutely sure."

I don't hesitate with my answer. "Yes, I'm sure. More than sure. You are who I want. I don't want anyone else. I love you, and I want to be with you. In every way possible." He gives me a long look before softly closing the gap with our lips. I sigh in content.

I barely realize that he moved across the bedroom until my back hits the soft mattress. We give into our desires that night. I finally felt free. Every gasp, moan, growl, and grunt; I felt loved. I finally felt whole and knew where I wanted to be.

I never wanted to leave this place. I wanted to stay with Alex. I hoped that if it came down to a choice, I would choose to stay here with my family. I wanted to stay in the world of Twilight.

Well, Sophie and Alex did the deed. I kept going back and forth on if it should be more mature. I'm not the greatest at writing it. So I decided just to tease it a little. I hope you enjoyed everything. More drama will be on the way! Until next time!

never gave it much thought on how I would live my life. If I were to die early or if I would have a long life. My thoughts of death vanished when a ray of light woke me up.

Opening my eyes slowly, the events that happened last night floods into my mind. I sigh in happiness and snuggle closer into the pillow. I reach out next to me, and only touch the sheets on the mattress. Alex isn't in the bed with me. The smell of bacon then fills the air. I guess Alex is making me breakfast.

The sound of my stomach growling gives me the signal that it was time to get up. I stretch my limbs and sit up. It's only then that I realize I don't have any clothing on. I get up and pick up Alex's shirt that has been discarded on the floor. I quickly put it on. The smell of bacon leads me into the kitchen.

Just the sight of Alex brings a smile onto my face. The muscles in his back show off more since he doesn't have a shirt on. I'd be lying if I said it didn't turn me on. As if sensing my presence, Alex turns around to greet me. I quickly see the longing in his eyes at the sight of me in his shirt.

"You might want to change, unless you want round two this morning," he says.

I smile. "Noted. Is that bacon?"

"Yes it is. I thought you would be hungry from our exercise last night." Blood rushes to my face. I quickly walk towards the island in the middle of the room and sit down on the stool just as Alex gives me a plate full of bacon and eggs. I'm so attuned into eating that I fail to notice the bruises on my shoulder and arms. The atmosphere soon gets quiet. Looking up, Alex wears a look of conflict. "I'm sorry. I guess I underestimated my strength."

I look down at the purple bruises on my arm. They show the imprints of his fingers. "Don't be. We knew it might be tricky. I am breakable."

Alex chuckles. "I keep forgetting about that. My fragile little China doll," he teases. I throw a piece of bacon at him. He laughs. "I'll just make sure to watch myself for next time." I perk up at that.

"Next time?"

"Yes next time. You didn't think some bruises would stop me from having you, did you?" I smile in relief.

"Love you."

"I love you too." The happy atmosphere is then interrupted by the ringing of Alex's cell phone. He groans in annoyance. He picks up the phone. "What?"

I continue to eat as I watch him. He quickly looks confused and then frustrated. "Fine. We'll start packing and head back soon. Expect us to arrive in four or five hours." He hangs up the phone and sighs in defeat.

The taste of bacon soon becomes uninteresting. I'm no longer hungry. "We have to go back don't we." He sighs and nods.

"Alice says we need to come back at once. Sorry that we have to cut this short."

I stand up and help Alex cleaning up. "Don't be. Hopefully we can come back soon."

Alex looks at me with his signature smirk. "Oh we will. This is your house after all. Well, ours technically." I stop and stare at him.

"What?"

"I bought this house for us. Call it a graduation present."

"You bought me a house as a graduation present?" This man never ceases to surprise me.

I look up into Alex's eyes as he pulls me into him.

"I know you like your privacy and I thought this was a good place where me and you could spend some time together. The falls are beautiful here and there a woods for miles. No neighbors. No one will bother us here."

"And the perfect place to go hunting," I add.

"You know me so well." Alex brings my lips to his. My arms wrap around Alex's neck. I start to deepen the kiss when my phone starts ringing.

"Ugh." I back away from Alex and pick up my phone. I don't bother looking at the caller ID. I already know who it is. "What Alice?"

"You can finish that later. You need to start packing and coming back home right now. This is an urgent matter Sophie." Alice sounds really serious.

"Fine Alice. We'll be on our way shortly." I hang up the phone and look at the vampire in front of me. "Rain check. Alice needs us now." Alex just nods his head and kisses me on the forehead.

Alex speeds into the room and packs everything up. I quickly change into jeans a shirt. We are soon on the road; heading back to Forks. I have a good idea on what Alice vision was. The coldness of Alex's hand gives me comfort.

We soon arrive back to the house exactly four hours later. I didn't know if I should be happy to be back or not. I'm already missing our getaway destination.

Alice meets up at the door. She looks nervous. "Before the two of you go in, you should be prepared for the worse."

Confusion comes over me. "What do we need to prepare for?" It's only when Alex stands next to me in the entrance to the house; when an earth shattering growl fills the air. Before I can react, Alex is shoved again a tree behind me. Holding him up by the neck is Edward.

"Edward!" I try to make my way over to him but Emmett holds me back.

"Are you crazy! You could have hurt her!" Edward roars.

"Edward! Stop it!" I try to plea to him but my words land on deaf ears. He looks furious.

"I don't really think this is any of your business Edward." Edward shoves Alex further into the tree.

"I make it my business when it concerns my sister. You were being careless and reckless." Edward's grip on Alex tightens and I start to see cracks beginning to form. A wave of panic overcomes me.

Alex could save himself, but he doesn't want to use his powers anymore. He would rather die than use them to save himself. I have to stop this.

"Emmett, let me go!" I shout and I manage to wiggle out of his grip. I soon run over to them before I can be stopped. "Edward, stop it!"

He doesn't acknowledge me. His gaze is solely on Alex.

"Edward, stop!" I place my hand on his shoulder and try to push him back. Easier said than done. It was like pushing against a stone wall. "Edward please!" My tone becomes desperate. One more push seems to bring him back to reality.

He looks at me with dark eyes. I freeze underneath his gaze. It was as if a spell was lifted. He looks at me and see's the distress in my face. He gives Alex one last look before releasing him. I rush to Alex just as Edward is backing away. I look over his face and neck for major damage. The cracks starts to mend back together.

I'm on the verge of tears. "I'm ok," Alex says. He pulls me into his arms and kisses my head.

"Why?" I whirl around to Edward and glare at him. "Why Edward?"

"He could have hurt you Sophie."

"Yet, he didn't. I'm perfectly fine."

"Define perfect Sophie." Edward points at my exposed shoulder. I pull the shirt up to cover the bruises.

"I knew what I was doing. I knew it would be tricky. It's just a couple of bruises. I've had so much worse than this. Remember when I broke my leg at the age of nine? That was so much worse than this."

"I have to apologize for that. I didn't really handle my strength well," says Alex. Edward's eyes blaze.

"There won't be a next time!" Can Alex ever keep his thoughts to himself.

"Stay out of my head," hisses Alex.

"Believe me, I'm trying. Your thoughts are really loud though!"

"Edward. You don't get a say in this. This matter is between me and Alex. If I want to do it again, then I will. This is a mutual decision between the two of us. You might not approve of us doing this while I'm still human, but this is my life! My life Edward, not yours. It is my decision. If you don't like the concept of a vampire and a human together then you need to bring this up to Bella. What the two of you decide to do is between the two of you. I'm going to live my life with him. I want to have as much human experience that I can while I'm still human. I have a couple of years to enjoy myself. Bella wants to be changed soon. I would suggest that you talk to her and worry about her since her humanity is ticking away." Tears stream down my face. I didn't want to have this conversation.

Edward looks at me and sighs. "Just be careful." I nod in response. "I'm going to go hunt. I'll see you later." Without another word, he is gone. I felt that I could finally breathe.

Its then that I notice my family staring at the two of us. "So. How did it go?" Emmett starts wiggling his eyebrows.

Blood rushes to my face. "Emmett, no. We are not having this discussion." I quickly wipe away my tears.

Emmett looks over at Jasper. "Hey Jasper. Want to bet how many times Sophie and Alex will play together before she becomes a vampire?"

My eyes widen. "Emmett! We are not doing this bet!"

"We'll see," replies Emmett. I feel Alex's body shaking.

I look up to see him laughing. "Hey Emmett, can I get in on this bet."

"Alex!" I slap his chest playfully.

"What?" I smile at him. This man will be the death of me.

"This is all good and all, but we really need to talk." I look to see Alice. Her face is grave.

"What is it Alice?"

She sighs. "After you and Alex left, I had a vision." I was in my own bubble last night that I completely forgot about the upcoming events.

"They're coming here." Is all I say.

"Yes."

"How long?"

"They'll be here in five days."

"Why didn't you call us to come back?" I feel like a failure.

"I didn't want to spoil your night. You looked so happy. You told us they were coming but we didn't know exactly when. When do I have this vision in the books?"

I sigh in defeat. "You have the vision during the party. I completely forgot to mention that detail. If I remembered, then we would have never left." Alex goes rigid. I quickly turn to him to ease his worries. "Don't think that. I enjoyed last night. I loved being with you. I don't regret anything. I just wish I could have been here to help everyone with the details." His body relaxes some.

"Are you a mind reader now," he hums in response.

"No. I just know you." I grab his hand and give it a squeeze. I turn back to Alice. "What's the plan Alice?"

"What happens next in the story?" That's all she says.

"You meet with the wolves to talk strategy and how to fight." I pause in thought. "You've formed an alliance with them." It's not a question. Alice just nods.

"It'll give you and Bella more protection," interjects Jasper. "They were passing Bella's clothes around, gathering her scent. There are too many for us to take on. They gives us the numbers and they won't even know that the wolves exist. It'll give us an edge." I suddenly see the civil war solider in Jasper appear. He looks calm but calculated. He's observant.

"We're meeting with them today. That's why I called you to come back early. We want to give you more protection. Not that you really need it with being will Alex. He can protect you just fine. It's more to appease Rosalie. She's been worrying about you nonstop. The wolves would be wondering about you too. It'll be easier if they see you unharmed in person," says Alice.

"Fine. But I'm going on a long vacation when this is all over," I say. My sanity needs it. "When do we leave?"

"We meet them in an hour. We are meeting them ten miles due north of the Hoh Forest ranger station. They will be coming in from the west. We need to go ahead and leave."

I just nod my head. "Ok." I look around for the one person that can calm me down at this moment. "Where's Rosalie?" A breeze of wind blows my hair to the side.

"You called?" Rosalie just smiles at me. I engulf her in a hug.

"Can you ride with me. I really need you right now." Her gaze softens.

"Of course." I pull away from her and get into Emmett's jeep. Emmett and Alex sit in the front while I sit in the back with Rosalie. She squeezes my hand in comfort as I stare off into the forest.

So we are now getting closer towards the fight. Would you like me to add more scenes between Sophie and Alex? Hope that you enjoyed this chapter. Until next time!
