Chapter 3

"Is this my status?" Ashton asked.

"Yes , this is your status. It is the embodiment of the universal laws which are meant to guide one's path until they have reached their limit." The voice clarified Ashton's question. Ashton who was looking over his status , noticed odd things and asked the voice. "Can you explain the status to me , I don't think I'll be able to understand some of the things mentioned here."

"Oh , this is new. Only on some occasions have people ever asked me to explain the status. Listen up lad , there are many things you should know, first is your common information like name, lifespan and gender. After those are the important information like your class , talent , body , body parameters , ability , technique , secondary ability and inventory. Your class defines which path you will be going in to reach the limit of your potential. Some people commonly have the same class and some have classes that could not be shared by more than 1 person." The voice gave Ashton time to digest the information before continuing.

"As for Talent , it refers to how high your potential is. Body is related to talent , you could have a normal body and great talent which could immensely boost your growth but if someone has a Divine Grade Body with Divine Talent then their path will be much easier than most people. Talent and Body have special perks within them. Some Talents could lead you to run faster , improve your body naturally or be harmonized with elements, as for Body , they have larger variety of perks which could be beneficial to someone if they knew how to use it effectively."

"Body parameters are there to explain your body's condition. Strength relates to your actual physical power and overall damage. Stamina relates to how much energy your body has, if wasted , it can be restored over time naturally. Speed relates to how fast you can run or in better terms , move your body. Defense is how much damage you can take or receive , the higher the defense , the less damage you take. Luck has a multitude of meanings but the most common is when you found yourself in a situation where you didn't expect to be rewarded. Intelligence is how intelligent one is. It relates to their perception , knowledge , comprehension and wisdom."

"Ability is your special 'superpower' that you gain after your awakening. It corresponds to your talent and body. Some abilities may be normal or some might even be powerful enough to destroy a planet. Technique are mainly used for practical uses like magic moves , attacks , offensive , escape and defense. There are some techniques which raises your body parameter the more you train it. Secondary abilities are abilities that people only receive after their class has advanced t the next stage. It could be as simple as a cooking ability or practical enough to control elements. And as for your inventory , let's just say it's like your own personal closet full of wonders. Oh , I forgot to mention that there are also Grades." The voice finished explaining and left Ashton to digest the information.

After about 10 minutes , Ashton understood what the status was and wanted to say something but the voice interrupted him. "You only have 2 more questions left." Ashton refrained from talking and thought about what to ask. It wasn't that long until he spoke. "What are the different Grades?"

"For all categories , there are only 6 Grades. Those Grades are Trash, Common, Superior, Semi-God, God and Divine. Trash being the lowest and Divine being the highest. You have one more question left lad." The voice stated.

"My last question is what is your name?" Ashton was curious if the voice would answer.

"Oh , you are curious about this old mans name young one , then let ,me enlighten you. I've been through the cosmos and destroyed many civilizations with my very gaze alone. I've brought down life itself and killed over the birth rate of a planet. No one who encounters me with ill-intensions leave alive. I'm the forbidden piece in this vast universe , my name is Deceptos." Once the voice said it's name , the dark room shook violently and shattered. Ashton who witnessed the scene was shocked until his mind went blank. "Good luck lad , may we see each other if you survive." Those were the last words Ashton heard before he returned to his apartment.
