Pedroko, an ambitious young man, who was not content with being just one of Zombo's leaders. He wanted to be the supreme leader, in control of all areas of the Village and all the people. Pedroko gathered a following among those who felt dissatisfied with the way things were run in Zombo, mostly attracting those who sought power and dominance. Pedroko implemented his own laws and rules, often cruelly punishing anyone who went against him or threatened his position of power.
People lived in fear and oppression, and the Village began to deteriorate under Pedroko's rule. The dictator leader did not care about the welfare of the inhabitants, only about increasing his own power and wealth.
When the news of the atrocities committed in Zombo reached other cities, there was outrage and general condemnation. Many leaders from other communities joined together to help liberate the village from Pedroko's rule.
There was a great battle, and Pedroko and his followers were defeated. Zombo Village was liberated and the original leaders were able to regain control. However, the wound of oppression left by Pedroko would take many years to heal.
