Jaber and Sindbad however couldn't give in to the fatigue from their long journey to Baghdad or the ambush of snakes. Both men walked out onto the balcony, taking in the calm night.
Sindbad couldn't gloss over the veins twitching in Jaber's arms, a telltale that he was growing anxious. Not even in the hardest of times would Sindbad ever witness Jaber that worried.
Jaber leaned on the banister, hands clutched tightly together, practically shaking at that time.
That was no good sign.
