Kagemaru, holding 6 cards, begins his turn by placing 4 cards face down on his side of the field.

"He's cooking something, I can feel it," I murmured as I observed Kagemaru's combo.

"I'm going to start by setting 4 face-down cards, with three of them being trap cards, and then I'm going to summon my Sacred Beast card by tributing 3 of the trap cards I just set," Kagemaru announced.

"What!? ALREADY!?" I could hear the spectators yelling in awe and surprise.

As 4 face-downs appear on his spell and trap zone, three of them quickly reveal themselves to be normal trap cards and then disappear from the field.

"You see, the conditions to summon this Sacred Beast are to sacrifice three trap cards. Watch in awe as I summon! Uria, Lord of Searing Flames!" Kagemaru grinned with glee.

'He top-decked Sacred Beast cards?' My eyes blinked in surprise as a blazing fire engulfed the field, revealing a shitty version of Slifer the Sky Dragon.

After summoning Uria, Kagemaru used his last card in hand, 'Card of Sanctity,' which allowed both duelists to draw cards until they had 6 cards in their hands.

"Next, I play Card of Sanctity. Well, knowing you, you already know what it does." Kagemaru smirked.

As I drew one card, Kagemaru drew 6, and once more, he set another 4 cards face down on the field. Then, he proceeded to tribute three of the face-down cards, revealing them to be normal Spell Cards.

"Now, I set another four cards face-down, and then... I will special summon—Hamon, Lord of Striking Thunder. Another Sacred Beast, by tributing three spell cards on my field!" Kagemaru exclaimed with excitement.

I bit my lip as I witnessed the sky crackling with blue lightning. Soon after, something encased in ice emerged from the ground, only to shatter the icy prison and break free. It revealed a modified version of the Winged Dragon of Ra.

"Hahahaha, believe it or not, I'm summoning all my Sacred Beasts this turn! I now summon Chaos Summoning Beast!" Kagemaru declared with a triumphant laugh.

Dark Magician Girl, who stood by my side, was shivering and whimpering slightly. I wasn't sure if something was bothering her.

"With this, I can special summon my final Sacred Beast in my hand by tributing my Chaos Summoning Beast, to bring out Raviel, Phantasm Lord!"

Finally, a sinister fiendish monster materialized on the field momentarily, only to be replaced by a watered-down version of Obelisk the Tormentor.

With three Sacred Beasts out, there was an undeniable shift in the air, and the energy in the surroundings seemed to gather around Kagemaru and the Sacred Beasts like a vacuum. It felt like a forced shadow game was now in play.

But that wasn't all; Kagemaru's aging appearance began to reverse, making him appear younger and more robust. Furthermore, as he was returning younger, he was moaning in ecstasy like an animal in heat.

'Definitely a shadow game. That fucker.' I was irritated that I have to deal with this.

Once Kagemaru returned to his prime youth he broke free from the water tank that had been containing him. Before getting into a dueling position.

[Husband…] Dark Magician Girl telepathically voiced her anxiety and nervousness at the sight. I could feel a portion of my vitality being drained and transferred to Dark Magician Girl, to which I didn't mind. It's not the first time she has done that.

<Gojo's thoughts process>

A lot of thoughts whirled into my mind as I saw the sacred beasts.

This marks my first encounter with the 'god cards' of this era. In my world, I never bothered delving into the effects of these Sacred Beasts because, frankly, they were considered complete shit. In fact the only one I recognized was that funny 10,000 attack fusion monster.

However, here and now, I now face not one but three 'god cards'. I was genuinely surprised by Kagemaru's ability to summon all three in one turn with some backline. This is not your everyday duelist.

It does look a bit annoying to deal with since I don't know any of their effects.

From what I know, the anime god cards in the first season were almost completely immune to spells and traps. Although I'm not sure if the sacred beasts come with immunities or any negates, it's better if I summon one of my own.

Even among god cards, a hierarchy exists within the Egyptian gods.

~

Kagemaru's lineup boasts three Divine Beasts in attack mode on the field, accompanied by 2 face-down cards and 2 cards in his hand.

"How will you fare against this?!" Kagemaru excitedly said.

'Man, he's acting like a kid. I'll clear this up with just Ra.' Rolling my eyes.

"You could have done better." I confidently responded as I drew my card and began my turn.

'Well, I should bait out any negates he might have,' I pondered.

Before I initiated my turn, I turned back to see everyone at the back, and they all appeared to be panicking. Their eyes locked onto their decks, some shouting that their cards had gone blank seemed to be in shock.

At that moment, my attention was drawn to a trembling, weak, and heavily breathing Dark Magician Girl. My eyes widened as I could see my vitality being absorbed by her, which was then being siphoned off by the Sacred Beasts.

Then something just snapped something inside of me.

My gaze sank, and I opened the armory (Gate of Babylon).

[Get back.] I ordered. Dark Magician Girl immediately complied, turning into a sphere of light and returning inside me.

Inside the shimmering golden gate, my right arm reached inside. I pulled something from within that I had never meant to bring out into this world.

As I withdrew my arm from the armory, I held something invaluable firmly in my grasp – Ea. I had made the decision to use it.

Everyone's eyes were fixated on what I was doing as I revealed this. I raised it into the air and activated it. "Ea! Wake up!" I ordered with a trance-like expression.

The weapon responded with intense crimson lightning, spinning at an immeasurable speed and emitting red, crimson lights into the atmosphere and sky.

What Ea did just now was nullify the shadow game, severing the Sacred Beasts' process of collecting energy and vitality from cards and duel spirits all around the world.

With a silent murmur of gratitude to Ea, I returned the artifact back into my armory and called the Winged Dragon of Ra using one of my blank cards.

A/N: A reminder that our MC absolutely has no idea about the GX storyline or any accurate information about sacred beasts.

<Gojo's heighten perception and thought processes>

After calming down, I could discern a couple of things from understanding what just happened. There was so much to contemplate.

Hell, as far as I'm aware the original god cards can probably cause havoc around the world if they wanted to. But why the fuck did the sacred beasts need energy?

I do not know if my understanding is correct, but I think the Sacred Beasts cards are in an incomplete state as they are in need of collecting energy.

Is it truly a lack of energy resources? I doubt it. Their summoning conditions are easy, yet they still crave energy even after being summoned. Could it be the card condition? After all, they were definitely made without a Millennium Item.

The original three God Cards that existed solely due to the use of a Millennium Item and because of Pegasus.

Then there was that annoying tablet that existed for both Gods and Sacred Beasts as well, but we are talking about the cards here.

In order for them to reach their prime, it forced a shadow game that enveloped the world within it. Collecting energy from cards and duel spirits worldwide, it was attempting to reach its prime state.

However, enveloping the world in a shadow game and targeting all existing cards and duel spirits? You have got to be fucking kidding me.

~

'It's something along those lines.' I quickly ran through some thoughts in my head with my heightened perception before returning to the present.

"W–What was that?!" Kagemaru yelled as he saw something incomprehensible. Even the sacred beasts were giving shocked expressions.

'They are disgusting.' I thought as I stared at the Sacred Beasts.

Ignoring their reactions, I continued the duel as if nothing had happened.

I activated a spell card from my hand. "First, screw your backlines. I play the Harpie's Feather Duster."

And to my surprise there was no negate from Kagemaru as the animation for the harpie's feather duster commenced and destroyed Kagemaru's face down cards as they were revealed to be a trap hole and magical cylinder.

'The fuck?' I tilted my head as my eyes narrowed at the sight of revealed cards.

'Whatever. Games over.' I sighed. I thought I was about to get solemn judgment or some weird negate.

I didn't even bother with Kagemaru's explanation that one of his sacred beasts cards attack points going to 5000, or the fact about gaining 1000 attacks for every trap card in his graveyard. That is just wack.

"I use polymerization to fused all three of my Blue-eyes white dragons in my hand to fusion summon my Blue-eyes ultimate dragon and then I will use de-fusion. To bring out three Blue-eyes white dragons onto my field!"

Now that I know most of the duel spirits around us should be safe and with Dark Magician Girl resting comfortably.

I made the decision to end the game asap. I didn't think of shadow games highly or that Sacred Beasts could cause such an impact onto the world. But seeing it happening—what a shit show.

"I will now tribute all three of my Blue-Eyes White Dragons on the field to summon my Egyptian God card!" Gojo declared with a cold expression.

That was when everyone was baffled upon hearing Gojo's statement. An Egyptian God card?

Only a few here were aware that there was supposedly only one Egyptian God card left in this world, believed to be in Pegasus' possession. This knowledge was limited to the chancellor and the superintendent. More importantly, it was a counterfeit card made by Marik Ishtar.

As all the Blue-Eyes White Dragons vanished from the field, an outburst of yellow lights filled the sky on a dark, cloudy night.

'To think that Pegasus gave that card to Gojo…' Sheppard and Kagemaru thought to themselves.

Well, at least that's what they believed. However, this is a genuine God card.

No one uttered a word as a mechanical orb of light appeared in the sky, slowly descending onto the field.

"Almighty protector of the sun and sky, hear my call! Transform thyself from orb of light and bring me victory in this fight. Unlock your powers from deep within so that together we may win. Appear in this world once more as I call out thy name, Winged Dragon of Ra!" I then chanted the lines for the Winged Dragon Of Ra to be properly summoned into this world.

As the orb of light dimmed, the appearance of the Winged Dragon of Ra emerged. The sphere detached and transformed itself into the iconic Winged Dragon of Ra that many people were familiar with.

It's a surreal sight. Not many people thought they would see an Egyptian God card in their lives, except through videos.

However, everyone could feel there was something. A feeling that everyone could feel the Winged Dragon of Ra was inexplicably furious, glaring at the three 'sacred beasts'.

"The Winged Dragon of Ra's attack points are determined by the combined attack points of the monsters that were used to tribute summon. It now stands at 9000!" I added, as no one could say anything.

"W—What?" Kagemaru's jaw dropped. Never in his life was he expecting to face an Egyptian god today. Nervously but still he has three sacred beasts on his side. Although Gojo has one he could not go against all three of his, right?

"I will one activate Ra's special ability. It can fucking attack all of your monsters and then attack you directly." I declared, a fierce determination in my eyes.

Kagemaru paled after hearing that. He was going to lose, with no cards to defend himself. Hell, he even knew his sacred beasts' abilities couldn't stop that. To top it off, all of his monsters were in attack mode. What's worse is that spells and trap cards won't work on Ra.

"Ra, kill them all." I declared. Without hesitation, Ra charged at them and pierced through the three sacred beasts who were shivering at the sight of Ra.

A/N: I might remake the whole chapter if you guys think its underwhelming or if its ass. <- comment here if you agree. < p>

I'm still trying to come up with things to add. While this is technically a half chapter, I have numerous ideas in mind that I'm struggling to bring out.

If you have the time, you should check out this video, I used this as reference as it was an interesting fan made theory about Egyptian gods and the Sacred beasts. Like a full dissection.
