Whispers of Love: A Library Encounter

The next day, when Ember opened her eyes, she found herself in her room. Still feeling sleepy, she made her way to the washroom, rubbing her eyes and brushing her teeth in a half-asleep manner. As she washed her face, she realized she was still wearing the gown from the previous evening and wondered how she had returned from Paris the night before.

"Ember, you can eat breakfast, sweetie," her mom called out. After freshening up, Ember went downstairs to eat. Her mother noticed she was still wearing the necklace from the night before. "How many times do I have to tell you? You can't sleep wearing any jewelry; it will hurt your body," her mom reminded her. Ember responded, "I forgot to take it off; I'll remove it when I sleep."

After breakfast, she rushed back to her room and checked; she was still wearing it. Reluctant to remove it, she got ready and left for the library. Today being Sunday, there were lucky hours with extra time to read. The library wasn't far from her house, and she enjoyed taking a walk there. Ember's hobby was reading, particularly comics, though occasionally she delved into novels.

"Good morning," Ember greeted the librarian, who replied with a smile, "Morning, Ember."

Searching for her comic, she couldn't find it. After some time searching and inquiries with the librarian, she grew tired and sat in her usual spot to rest for a moment. "Huff! Where the hell did that book go?" she murmured without realizing someone else was sitting next to her.

Ember fell asleep at the library, and when she woke due to sunlight, she saw a man in front of her. Rubbing her eyes, she realized that the person is holding her comic. "My comic!" she shouted. "Hey, mister, I'm the one reading it. Why did you take it?" the person removed the book from his face, apologized, and offered it back. "Adrien!" she shouted again when she saw him.

"Shh!" everyone in the library hushed Ember.

"Sorry," she apologized, then dragged Adrien outside. The librarian remarked, "If you leave now, you'll miss lucky hour for the next weeks." Ember sighed and dragged Adrien into the corner bookshelves. Ensuring no one was around, she questioned him, "What are you doing here?" and gestured toward the shelves.

"I came to meet you," he said hesitantly.

"Meet me? So, what are you doing in the library?" Ember asked.

"I'm here because..." Adrien began.

"Because... Adrien, can you please be fast? You're wasting my time."

"I went to your house, but you were sleeping so peacefully that I didn't want to disturb you. You told me about your daily habits, always being at this library at this time, and your favorite corner. So, I came here, waiting for you," he explained with an innocent smile.

"You came to my house? What if my parents saw you so early in the morning?" she asked.

"I made sure they didn't see me," Adrien reassured her.

"Seriously? You made sure they didn't see you?" Ember chuckled and faced Adrien. "From what time have you been sitting here?"

"I've been here since before you came to the library," Adrien replied innocently.

Ember didn't get angry; instead, she asked, "So, you mean you've been sitting here before I arrived, waiting to talk until I saw you? Why didn't you wake me up?"

Adrien didn't say anything, just nodded, which irritated Ember. She playfully tapped his head, and he yelped, "Ouch!"

"Let's go outside," Ember suggested, and they left the library together.

" I hate waiting .

But if it's waiting for you ,

I'll wait."
