Chapter 015: Betrayal

Enyu puts his hand on his head and scruffs up his hair, yelling as he lost yet another match to Jaq. Even though Enyu plays and practices everyday, he doesn't understand how Jaq always finds a way to bear him. Jaq laughs at him and taunts at him for losing against the weakest character.

Enyu demands Jaq for a rematch as Jaq agree's telling him he'll be getting close to beating him a hundred times in a row without any loss, accumalating all the times they played over the years. Enyu tells Jaq that it won't happen as the match begins.

For the first half of the game, Jaq makes a fool out of Enyu as he beats him down to his last life, though Enyu was able to catch himself later on and ended up getting Jaq down two lives.

As the last match is about to start, the two get tense as they both have pride as a gamer to uphold, the timer counts down as Enyu is lazer focused on the screen. Jaq phone vibrates as he checks his phone recieving a notification, the match starts and Enyu pummels Jaq's character like he wasn't even trying.

Instead of being proud by the win Enyu was disapointed wondering what was going on, as he looks at Jaq with a disressed look on his face. Enyu ask Jaq if everything was alright as Jaq snaps out of it and covers his stomache saying his stomache was hurting and he had to use the bathroom.

Enyu sighs and smirks at him telling him he should't have eaten all thay food at lunch as Jaq walks out looking back at Enyu and responding, "Yeah, I probably should't have."

Enyu lays back scrolling through videos on his phone as he waits for Jaq to come back, he ends up receiving a message from his dad saying "I'll be home in five minutes" getting Enyu excited as he sits up. But before Enyu could type back, a loud bang came from downstairs, it sounded like it came from where his mother was at.

Enyu leaves the room and yells down the stairs if his mother was alright, as he recives no response, Enyu makes is way downstairs, he felt a bit tense and worried that something might've happened.

As he reaches near the bottom of the stairs, he walks around the corner, as he stands their, a blank look on his face as he watches Jaq with a pocket knife in his hand, and his mother,leaning against the wall, bleeding, stab wounds all over her stomache. Enyu watches the blood run down the wall and spread across the floor.

Enyu, in a low, deep tone, ask what Jaq was doing, as Jaq gave no response, continuing to face away from Enyu as he looks at the woman bleeding in front if him. Enyu ask the same question again to Jaq, his demeanor staying the same as he takes a step closer to Jaq, again, no response.

This cycle repeats over and over until Enyu was right behind Jaq,as he was niw arms distance away from him. Enyu, with nothing in his eyes, his whole world going dark, reaches his hand out towarsa Jaq's hair. As Jaq felt Enyu's hand flow through his hair, he stood their, knowing full what was going to happen, and accepting his fate.

Enyu grabs a handful of Jaq's hair as Jaq feels himself getting pulled to the ground. Enyu had tugged his hair agressivly making Jaq fall, as Jaq metaphysically imagined this as his whole life going downhill fast. He didn't want to show Enyu any of his emotions, though Enyu probably wouldn't care at the moment, Jaq didn't deserve any pity for what he did.

A couple hours back when Jaq arrived at his house, he went inside finding his dad with a piece of paper in his hand, a cigar in his mouth, and a pocket knife on the table. Jaq worridely approches the man as he notices Jaq, slowly turning around, showing a mean face, scars on his forgead, and dead eyes.

Jaq's father was a terrifying man, but no one knew this. His father was labeled "the lawyer who fought for the justice" but to Jaq, that couldn't have been farther from the truth. Jaq'a father was a boss of a gang in the background, his father was able to hide this fact very well with his records as a lawyer. He was able to hide it so well that his rival gang didn't even know he lived a couple houses down.

Both as a lawyer and underground as a boss of a gang, he is seen as a respected and amazing man, but to Jaq, he was the devil. After his mothers ended her life from the abuse and pressure from his dad, it was a living hell for him. His father barley fed Jaq, as he hoarded as much money to himself telling Jaq he could eat at school, this was why he ate so much.

And the reason he always looked so tired, and why deep down, Jaq hated his looks so much, was because his father would go into his room during the night, calling him by his mother name before defiling his body, leavinf Jaq exhausted and depressed every night, wrapping his body in layers of blanket and crying.

As Jaq walks up to his father and ask if he could go over to Enyu's house and hangout, Jaq father gave him a malicous grin before setting down the paper. Jaq caught a glimpse of it and it showed a bunch of bills and how much debt he was in.

Jaq's father patted his head and grabs the knife on the table. He hands it to Jaq telling him to kill the bastards wife who ruined his underground business and made them go bankrupt.

Jaq looks at him horrified by what he said, his father looks at him, no longer smiling and asking why he was so shocked, this was their game plan all aong, why Jaq got along with Enyu, why he made them become close. Jaq knew that it all started off with a lie and to use Enyu to attack his fathers rival boss from the inside, but the time he spent with Enyu were pricless to him.

Jaq's father dragged his finger acorss his stomache all the way before grabbing his chin, causing his brain to go into a state of fear from the trauma of all the nights. Jaq's father told him that if he didn't do this, he'll take away the little freedom Jaq ever had in his life. Jaq was terrified, he could only imagine what his father would do to him.

He agrees to his father plans and as the day goes on, he almodt forgot about the whole thing until he recoved a text from him, asking if he yet. Jaq knew that he had no other choice, as he got up and lied to Enyu before leaving the room and walking downstairs.

Jaq turns around the corner as he see's Enyu's mother cooking food, the food he could've been eating, as he approaches her, his hand in his pocket where the knice was in his hand. Enyu mon turns around a notices Jaq giving hin a soft smile, asking if he was already hungry, chuckling, comparing him to Enyu.

Jaq could't hold his feelings in anymore, shutting his eyes as tears roll down his cheeks. Before he could let his emotions get to him anymore, he takes his hand out his pocket, flicks the knife out, and stabs Enyu's mother in the stomache, as she watches in horrer, to shocked to even make a noise. Jaq continued stabbing her, as she slams against the wall, crying to himself and what he just did.

He stops when he hears Enyu's voice calling out for his mother, as Jaq looks at the horrer he caused, he knew even if he got back home, nothing would change, and his fate was sealed.

Enyu pummels Jaq, as he stands over his body, smashing his face in, blood gushing everywhere as neither of then make a noise, the only thing being heard was the echos of a skull being bashed.
