Two More

Second Stage...Only a few weeks left until the Zhuang would come. She had to at least become an Orange Spirit if she wanted to bring catastrophe upon the Lu Family. Gazing at the glass violin, her empty purple eyes became clear as the violin was reflected in her eyes.

Zhu Xiao Wan started to practice her playing day to day and only stopped to do some physical training like martial arts on breaks. After all, she couldn't be playing for a whole day straight without resting, her fingers and hand would fall off.

It had been a while since she last did any real physical training, hence, her stamina had lowered. Previously, she could hold a wooden sword and continue to strike a wood figure for hours. Gun shooting and archery were easy as child's play; kicking and punching, it was not difficult at all to gather enough strength; swimming and jumping were easy, too.

But now, even with her power, these weren't easy at all as her stamina was extremely shallow. Therefore, Zhu Xiao Wan routine for the few weeks before the Zhuang came, was to train and practice; since practices were the only thing she knew to do for cultivating her power.

The Ning siblings were training with Zhuang Yang as well; they were beaten by him so many times that Ning Hai Heng was bedridden for a few days. Ning Rou Li was spared of any serious injuries because she was a girl and Zhuang Yang didn't want to beat up a girl even if it was for cultivating.

A few days before they came, Guang Ling visited the manor. Zhu Xiao Wan pestered him and asked the old man if there was a drug or elixir that would create hallucinates. When she asked about hallucination, the old man got excited and started giving her lectures on hallucination.

There are two types of hallucination; one was conscious and the other was unconscious. Additionally, there were many hallucination drugs with different effects for each type.

The conscious hallucination was when the delusion was built up with existing matters. The person that was affected by the drug might see the place around them changed and the people around might also turn into others. One could be seeing his lover when the person in front of him, that he was touching, was not his lover and was someone else.

As for the unconscious, the hallucination would be like a dream - there were no solid matters. More specifically, one would not be able to come in contact with the people and objects he was seeing. One could be wide awake when this happened but could also be sleeping.

For the effects, that depended on the ingredients and the process of making the drug. It could be a sweet dream, a nightmare, or others that might have detrimental effects. The most important thing was that hallucination drugs were all elixirs, no pill nor powder.

"Please teach this disciple how to formulate them."

"Eh? You want to create a hallucinating elixir?" Guang Ling's brows rose.

Zhu Xiao Wan nodded. "All of them."

She wanted to know all of them so she could concoct those in the future if she sought it without having to look for Guang Ling.

Guang Ling glanced to the side to check something for a while before saying, "I'm out of ingredients."

Zhu Xiao Wan raised her brows, "I'll go buy them. What does Master need?"

After Guang Ling wrote down a list of herbs, plants, and other stuff and gave it to her, Zhu Xiao Wan returned to her room. She didn't need to look for Song Hui Yao to help her anymore; the last few weeks of training, he taught her the Countenance Altering.

Although she still only knew the face changing, slightly, it was good enough for now. While she was being taught by Song Hui Yao, he told her that there was a second book and a third one, too. However, he didn't tell her what those books were about; all she knew was that it had something to do with altering.

Zhu Xiao Wan fixed her facial features and wore a grey robe. Her appearance at this moment would surely get her in trouble with the few but strong guards, hence, she lessened her presence and furtively went out of the manor.
