The rest of the night felt like a game to Nathaniel, it was a back-and-forth between him and the heads of the syndicate.
They weren't trying to put him on another mission as he had expected, instead, they seemed to be searching for weak points. Things in his life that they could use to manipulate him.
"We heard from Frank that you are his cousin's main rival in love," the head of the sales department, Randolf said as he cut into his steak. "You must be quite a lover to go against Oliver Wright, even my daughter is smitten with him."
"Then your daughter can date him," Nathaniel said with a confident smile as he looked that Randolf. "Because I am certain that in the end, Maya will choose me and will continue to choose me even against men like Oliver."
To his surprise, Frank began to laugh, drawing the attention of the room to him.
Nathaniel looked at Frank and raised an eyebrow. As Oliver's cousin, Frank should have been on Oliver's side.
