Day One
"Grandpa made me," Maya said with a frown as she looked at her friend.
"And you weren't planning on telling me?" Celia asked as they walked into the Miller Industries' building for their first day of work.
"Well you are here now," Maya said, rolling her eyes as they waited for the representative from the human resources department to meet them.
When Celia had heard that Maya handed over her resignation to their boss she immediately knew where Maya was moving to work.
"Miss Nichols? Miss Williams?" A woman who looked to be a few years older than them asked as he approached.
"Yep, that's us, we're the new hires for the marketing department," Celia said as she gave him an alluring smile.
Maya resisted the urge to roll her eyes, of course Celia was attracted to him.
Just as her grandfather had announced, Maya was flying under the radar, using the name Maya Williams, her first name being common enough.
