“Daniel,” Jenarius spoke first, “was that his name?”

Jenarius had recalled it from the list Angel had made.

Javier nodded, “He opened the well, freed Astaroth, and created chaos. The good thing was that Astaroth was still bound to the well, meaning he could only come out on the date of the death of one of his victims.

“I spent years trying to find out what had happened and what I could do to end the deaths. It took me most of my teen years and my early twenties but I finally found the information about the seal. I shut the well in 1993, ten years before-,”

“-Phoebe went missing,” Jenarius finished in surprise.

His words startled him.

“Sorry, before she died.”

Javier nodded.

“When I battled Astaroth, Azban hadn’t been there. It was horrid and extremely hard. He caught me in a weak moment and managed to suck a little of my life out of me- literally.”

Jenarius finally understood why the man looked so old.
