It's one of their promises.

Be one and start a new life…

Life where our lives would be better.

My mother with father and my siblings and I with them it will be happier.

Whole family but I will need to let them go… My friends.

But what I really hope is that I hope we won't forget each other.

Just what they say just live a life.

A life where you can be contended and happy with it.

There will be a day where we will meet again.

In heaven or in this life…

Just like flowers blooms,

That soon after dies,

But just like flowers who fall and dies,

They are still sentiment,

Every flower has its own meaning,

So do the humans,

"Mark, Dayne, wake up." I woke my little brothers up. This is the day. The day we will leave this birthland of mine, of us.

"Okay, we'll go out after 30 minutes." Mark walks into the restroom to have a shower and so we can leave the house immediately in order not to be late on our flight. I came to our luggage to get them down to the living room.

"Are you okay, Mila?" My mother who just comes out from the kitchen asked.

"Yeah, it's just that…"

"It's just that… what? Are you hesitant?" She bluntly asked.

"Yeah." I shook my head.

"Why?" She asked.

"Friends, I am worried what if they forget me?"

"What if those promises they made to me will break by the years I'm not going to be with them?" I never think this before but what if they really…

"No, they won't if you are their real friends, they won't forget about their promises even how many years all of you are away from each other, even you don't talk to them anymore they won't change because they treat you as a friend and not a toy to hung up with when they are bored." She said. I just nodded and went back to our room to get the other luggage.

"Why are you carrying that luggage?" My grandpa asked.

"I'm bored" I said as he laughed.

"Stop that. Your father will do that later, go the kitchen so you can eat. You can't go and wait in the airport with an empty stomach." Grandma said.

"Yeah, your grandmother is right. Go! Go to the kitchen." He said. Even though sometimes my grandpa looks scary that even my friends fear him. He is kind of soft inside. I go to the kitchen to eat as I saw my mother cooking. There is a fried rice, scramble egg, and hotdog, and sausages at the table. My mother looks beautiful with her jeans and a pink sweater. We will be complete after we move abroad.

I hope everything would be fine.

My brothers finish getting ready as my grandparents send us to airport.

"Take care, darling." She said as we all hug each other as to bid our goodbyes.

See you, Grandma.

After we get in the plane we just slept for few hours.

"Mila, wake up we need to go." I said.

"What? Did we land already?" I asked when my mother wake me up from my sleep.

"Yeah, let's go. Your father and your brothers already went out of the plane." Mom said as I hurriedly go out of the plane while pulling her with me.

After I came here, I had no time to go out of our house. My mother starts to get us into parks and take us around while they are handling our transferee papers in our new school.

Soon after that I started to long for my friend's presence.

The days passed after another…

It became like a gloomy weather on the weather forecast,

I hope someday I start to accept it,

"Sis, what are you doing?" My brother suddenly shows up.

"Mark, go out." I shouted.

"Why? Who are you talking to?" He asked as he approached me.

"I'm talking to Stella." I said as I kicked him out of the room.

"Is that Mark?" My friend asked.

"Yes." I said.

"I kicked him out." I added.

"Okay, how are you then?" She asked.

"Let me ask the question again. How are you?" I asked.

"Nothing, I'm fine." She answered hesitantly as she looked away from me.

"Tell me, what happened?" I asked.

"Nothing, it's just that I shouldn't have expected anything." She said.

"Why? Is there something happened?" I asked.

"My aunt said they think he was courting someone." She said. Oh, it's about her crush again.

"How are you then? When will your class start?" She was changing the

"In few days we will go to the school because I need to catch up with the students." I simply answered directly while still thinking about her expression.

"Are you fine?" She asked again.

"Just home sick." I said.

"Yeah, crazy girl." She reacted and she just laughed.

"Don't worry too much and don't miss us so much." Stella said.

"Are they texting you?" She asked.

"Isa and Jayra don't text me anymore." I answered as I felt sad.

"Don't worry, they might just busy." She comforted me with saying those words to me.

"Are they still talking to you?" I asked.

"Yeah, sometimes." Stella answered.

"I think Isa have a boyfriend, but I am not sure." She added.

"Let them be." I just said.

"You should make friends after you got in the new school. So, you won't always think about us." Stella explained.

"Yeah, that's right. But I expect them, you to be close to each other even though I'm not there. That's one of their promises." I replied.

"Don't worry about them. Make friends there." Stella said.

"I'm bad with English. Yeah, I know some but…" I confess.

"You can practice." Stella cut me out. She is right, I can learn if I don't know it.

"Okay, I'll go first." She said as she ended the call. I went to the kitchen when my brother calls me for the dinner.

It must be morning in the Philippines this time.

I go back to the room and sleep for the night.

In the morning I was thinking what would happen in the school.

Can I really make friends?
