CHAPTER TWENTY NINE

LOGAN'S POV

I hear what Jer said, but I am so afraid the angel to whom I married only yesterday could be taken away from me, just like mom and dad and gramps and grams.

I have to remain with him to keep him safe. If I'm at his side, I know that I can and will protect him because in the short space of time that he entered my life, he's become more important than even the breath that I breathe.

"Earth to Jamie" my baby brother chuckles, putting an arm around my shoulders, leaning his head, touching it with mines. "You take care of him" he indicates Logan with raised eyebrows "and I'll take care of her" Jer says indicating the harder job of the two. Dealing with Jessica, our baby sister.

"So where are you taking Jamie for your honeymoon?" I heard Jess ask Logan, chuckling.

Logan's eyes met mines, before he could answer, "anywhere will suit me fine, once he's there with me" I answered instead, pushing Jer off me, walking towards Logan, putting my plate down, wrapping around his neck, from behind him, where he still sat with Justin and Jess.

Smiling seductively, Logan looks up covering my hands that's wrapped around his neck with his hands, lifting his face up as I leaned down and kissed him full on the lips for a brief moment, to everyone else's annoyance.

"Get a room" Justin and Jess, shouted together.

Turning around with a mischievous smirk, the smirk that I love so much. "Good idea" he tells them, lifting me off the ground, bridal style walking back into the direction of our rooms, leaving the cheers and whistles behind us.

Upon entering our room, I helped Logan open the door because he had his hands full. He threw me upon the bed roughly, diving in the space beside me.

"Hey" I said softly with his faces about four inches apart.

"Hey" he whispers back.

Studying my face, searching for my reaction, "so you're okay with staying at the penthouse?" Logan asks me.

Nodding, "once you remain there with me, I'll be okay." I tell him honestly.

Resting his forehead on mines, "I promise that I will take you on the trip of a lifetime after the verdict is announced and the police deal with the threats" he said as he pulls a pillow putting it under his head. He then places a arm under my head drawing me to rest my head on his chest.

"This is the first time I wish I lose a case" Logan said thoughtfully.

Surprised with his confession, I turned my body around quickly resting my hands on his chest, staring at his chin and started tracing the contours of his jawline.

"I don't" I said softly, lifting myself up to stare into his deep dark eyes. "I want you to win. This is who you are. This is who I met and I won't let your love for me cause you to fear winning cases like this anymore, because you are a winner" I tell him convincingly

.

Pulling my face down to him, he kisses me intensively, "what did I do to deserve you Jamie?" Logan asks.

"Just remember that, when the female population throws themselves at you" I warned him, narrowing my eyes at him.

"Okay let's get packing, we have a flight in a while" Logan says as he lifts himself up causing me to slide off him.

Sitting up sighing, "I hate packing" I mutter to softly to myself.

Chuckling, Logan standing up, stretching out a hand for me to take.

Refusing his hand, I threw myself backwards, flinging myself on the bed, with arms open wide, suddenly not wanting to leave this place, my safe haven.

Leaning down, he pulled me back up, "we are not losing each other Jamie. This is just our first hurdle but we will get through it. We will be okay" Logan emphasize, turning me, hitting me in the butt. "Now take up the wet clothing in the bathroom, I'll handle the dry ones.

Huffing, I trotted off into the bathroom to see my dirty clothes neatly packed and Logan's dirty laundry thrown around.

"Hey" I stomped out of the bathroom with my hands on my hips, walking up to Logan. "I will cook for you, I will clean for you and I will support all of your endeavors, but I will not pick up after you" I say fuming.

Watching me, fighting a grin, "I did wonder when I didn't hear you say that in your vows" he told me. "So you want the dry clothes instead?" he asks indicating the open suitcases on the floor, that definitely needed folding and packing neatly.

Turning back for the bathroom, "no I'm good, this time" I said over my shoulder hearing him chuckle as I walk away.

I finished packing the fewer pieces of clothing in the bathroom before venturing into the bedroom to see my husband packing the two suitcases he had already placed on the bed. I stood, enjoying the view. Logan lifts my wedding dress that grams made for me up. He was literally scrutinizing it.

"Trying to steal the design?" I asked behind him.

Looking at me thoughtfully, "is Jessica's dress the same design?" he asks me curiously.

Shaking my head, wondering what he is up too.

Turning my dress inside out, he folds it neatly, much neater than I would have done putting it into a bag, packing it into his suitcase.

"You're stealing my dress?" I said walking up to him.

Chuckling, "we're married now, so what's yours is also mines" he informs me with his now famous smirk.

"No sweetheart" I responded. "Now that we're married, what's yours in mines and what's mines is also mines" I said wrapping my arms around his neck, reaching up pecking his cheeks.

"I should have drawn up a contract then" Logan smiles.

"It's not to late" I said chuckling.
