Chapter 3: Let's Meet The Hero 3

"Puchi"

The tip of the knives traveled through both of the target's necks, but something was different. Bravo didn't hear the men choking in their blood, and he didn't feel the warm blood spraying on his face. Both of these were euphoria for him, but now he got nothing.

Something is wrong with the two guards in front of him. Bravo saw the blood oozing out of his blade from both of the guard's necks. It was darker than normal.

"What's wrong?"(Charlie)

Charlie turn his head back to look at Bravo who was confused.

"Something's not right." (Bravo)

Bravo walks around the couch and looks at the two guards. He can't believe what he had seen. Their position didn't change even after they were stabbed with the blade. It was as if their body were frozen in their place.

"What is it?" (Charlie)

"They are already dead" (Bravo)

"What?" (Charlie)

Charlie got closer to Bravo and look at the two men. Their faces were pale white and their eyes were wide open, lifeless. The expression of shock and terror can be seen on their faces. Charlie touches both of the guard's faces.

"Cold…Seems to be dead almost an hour ago" (Charlie)

Charlie noticed their hands were purplish and their nails were dark. Charlie tried to lift one of the guard's hands, but it seems to be frozen stiff. Charlie tries to move the body on the floor and the body still stays in the seating position. Charlie starts to frown.

"What the f*ck? What poison could do this?" (Charlie)

"Not a natural one" (Bravo)

"Hm? Have you seen someone use this kind of poison before?" (Charlie)

"…I do…. but I need to confirm something first!" (Bravo)

Bravo start to clench his right fist tightly while his left hand was touching the scar on his left eye.

"Confirm what?" (Charlie)

"Confirm that we are not dealing with someone who we shouldn't. Sigh… Let's look at the other guards first" (Bravo)

Bravo, look at Charlie with a nervous expression.

"…Alright, you lead, I'll cover behind" (Charlie)

Bravo and Charlie walk up the stairs and arrive at a corridor. Bravo saw a person standing in a corridor frozen in a punching position facing away from the stairs. Bravo signal stops to Charlie.

"What the f*ck?" (Charlie)

Charlie was perplexed by the things he was seeing.

"Let's move closer" (Bravo)

Both of them walk slowly toward the man. Bravo look at the man's hand and notice he got the same purplish hand and black nail.

"Look at his hands" (Bravo)

"Hm? Same with the others" (Charlie)

They walk towards the front of the man. He got a different expression. He looks angry and his eyes were blood red instead of black. Charlie and Bravo felt shivers down their spine.

"That's new" (Charlie)

"...."(Bravo)

"How the f*ck did he died like this?" (Charlie)

There were a few seconds of pure silence as both of them looked at the body.

"…Let's look inside the rooms" (Bravo)

"H-huh, Alright" (Charlie)

Charlie shakes his head to get rid of his nervousness. Both Charlie and Bravo check the three rooms on the floor slowly. They discovered three bodies in each room, but they were different. They died in their sleep.

"They don't seem to feel anything when they sleep cause their faces were a bit peaceful" (Charlie)

"…."(Bravo)

"Have you confirmed who did this?" (Charlie)

" …Yes" (Bravo)

"How?" (Charlie)

"When I saw that body" (Bravo)

Bravo pointed at the body that died standing up.

"Who is it? (Charlie)

"I think you might know him too. His name is Violet" (Bravo)

"Violet?! No way! The infamous assassin who uses poison to kill his target. He died isn't he?" (Charlie)

"Well, with the body died standing up in front of us here, it doesn't seem so. I've watched his work on my previous mission. He was the one who assassinate the President Of Rawang while my squad was instructed to protect him 2 months ago. He died in front of our eyes when he was giving a speech to the people." (Bravo)

"I know that incident? His people were surprised when the president stop talking all of a sudden. They found out he was dead when his secretary get close to him. She started to scream when she realise he was dead. How did he do it?" (Charlie)

"…No one knows. It can be through food consumption or injection but nobody found his method until now." (Bravo)

"So, he's just a poison expert. He's not that good in a fight right?" (Charlie)

"Are you fucking serious, how did you think I've got this scar?" (Bravo)

Bravo pointed to the scar on his left eye.

"….."(Charlie)

"When the president died, we were told about a suspicious person moving away from the scene on a bike. My team and I manage to stop him at the port. He was wearing a full-face visor with an armored jacket. We gunned him down but his jacket was bulletproof. When our ammo was depleted, we started to use close-quarter combat." (Bravo)

"Was he good?" (Charlie)

"Really good. We were like children fighting an adult. He slash my left eye when I try to pin him down. My blood sprayed on my face and that was when I felt it. I felt that I was going to die." (Bravo)

"Then how's the news that he was dead got out?"

"He was running to a boat at the port when he was done beating up me and my team. He didn't realize one of my team's sniper was able to ready a position near the port. One of Violet's feet was already in the boat and my teammate aim his shot toward his head. He take his shot and he stated that the bullet penetrate Violet's visor and he fall straight into the ocean." (Bravo)

"Did you find his corpse?" (Charlie)

"… We found nothing. Our officer concludes our investigation after 3 days of searching. HQ told the Rawang government that the killer was killed and his body sank into the oceans and eaten by the fishes to appease them." (Bravo)

""….. This operation is getting more dangerous man"(Charlie)

"Damn! I should have trusted my gut feeling of not accepting this mission" (Bravo)

"Come on man, don't say that. You're making me nervous here damn it! Where's the guy who smiles when blood splatters on his face?" (Charlie)

Bravo's face contorted and he started to grab Charlie's collar strongly.

"Violet is not just a cartel goon alright! He's a motherfucking assassin okay!! I rather bail out from this operation than see him again" (Bravo)

Charlie stares straight into Bravo's eyes. He can see the fear in Bravo's eyes and the coldness of his hands.

"Okay! I got it alright. Calm down" (Charlie)

"sigh….sorry" (Bravo)

Bravo started to calm down and let go of Charlie's collar.

"I'll report to Alpha" (Charlie)

"…..Alright" (Bravo)

Charlie reaches his hand towards the communication device in his right ear.

"Plip!"

"WHAT!" (Alpha)

Alpha can hold his surprise when he got the report from Charlie.

"Dammit, He's going to kill our target. Get to Wira's mansion with Bravo right now!" (Alpha)

"Roger, over and out" (Charlie)

Alpha was anxious and look at his watch. It shows 2350 hours.

"They should be here in 5 minutes" (Alpha)

Alpha starts to calm down because the guards' quarters are near Wira's mansion. Alpha scoped out to look at Wira and Maria. He noticed that Wira started to take off his bathrobe.

"What the fuck are you doing Wira?" (Alpha)

Alpha scopes around the mansion and towards the three guards.

"How are you going to go through this guard to get to Wira, Violet?" (Alpha)

"You don't have to worry about it?"(???)
