Chapter 17: nightmares

Rosario is in the midst of darkness and she asked "where am I? What is this place?"

Rosario looks around and saw 2 familiar people. Rosario called them out as she was about to cry and said "Mom, Dad, I'm here!"

Her parents faced her but she ended up being surprised when they turn around to face her. She saw 2 faceless elvian people and they have a crown of a king and queen.

Rosario asked them "who are you, people?! Where are my Mom and Dad?!" But they ignored her question and beg for mercy. The 2 of them said, "please have mercy on us!" They both kneel right in front of Rosario as they beg for mercy.

Rosario asked herself "just what the hell is going with this 2? Is this some kind of dream?" As she raised her question, the whole place started to change like magic, and Rosario was terrified of how things changed.

Right now, Rosario is standing in a war zone where a lot of elvian people were slaughtered by an unknown entity. The unknown entity beheaded the two faceless elves and their head speak up as they rolled towards Rosario's feet and said "please! save us, my son. You're the only one who can save us!"

The unknown entity rushed toward Rosario and stab her with a huge sword with a black flame. As Rosario's senses started to fade she noticed that the unknown entity is wearing a king's robe with a crest of a burning inverted cross behind it.

The unknown entity speak up and shouted "come and stop me! The strongest god Xerxis!"

Rosario's consciousness faded and she woke while breathing heavily. She said to herself "I see, so I was having a nightmare, huh."

Rosario saw one of the female students still not sleeping. Rosario asked, "why are you not sleeping?" The girl answered, "I just couldn't sleep while having a fear of being trapped again." Rosario said "I see, by the way, I've been curious all this time. I wanted to know, what is that trapped that you've activated earlier?"

As Rosario raised the question, the girl started to cry and Rosario said "I know that it is a painful story but if you let your feelings hold you back, you won't get yourself anywhere. That feeling will keep on piling up and it will keep on getting heavy. If you don't open up now, it will be difficult to open up in the future. Life is too short and you only live once. If you don't open yourself to others, you will die without a trace. Nobody will know that you've existed. You'll be stuck in darkness as you die, you'll drown in a sea of despair and no one will be able to save you. Only you can save yourself on that point but can you do it?"

Rosario said "back in my previous life, I have so many regrets. All I ever do is shut myself from the world. I've hated the world because it took away everything that I have loved and cherished the most. The world that I lived in is a leaving hell. The world is very unfair." The girl asked "that's why you've attempted to destroy it, right?" Rosario said "no, I didn't do anything like that. If I have the power to destroy the world, I wouldn't do it. Instead of using power to destroy the world, I would just use it to find true happiness. However, I don't have that kind of power so I decided to stay away from it and ignore my sister, after all. The world does not exist for you." The girl said, "but according to history, the king of the demon lords tried to destroy the world."

Rosario said to herself "a scripted history, huh? I bet the gods that we're up against me created that history. I would also bet that they made their selves look like a hero while the demon lords are evil. I didn't even remember opposing any of them as a demon lord Diablo." Rosario said "look, whatever you've learned about that history. Don't believe in it. Whatever happens in the past is the opposite of what you know." The girl said "so what you're trying to say is that all this time we've been believing in a fabricated history?" Rosario said, "yeah, but there are still some few true stories on it but most of it is lies." The girl said, "I see, I'll take that into my account and investigate if it's true."

Rosario stands up and walks away. Rosario said "it's OK if you don't want to tell me what happened and I'll respect it. However, there is no guarantee that we might not encounter that trap again, after all. I created the traps to move around and change locations wherever it likes." The girl asked "why are you doing this?" Rosario answered "we'll, I just felt pity towards the relationship of Glen and Rossian so that's why I'm helping all of you, after all. I've experienced the same thing in my previous life." The girl said "I see, so in your past life you have a lover but it kind of feels like there is another reason. Is there another reason?"

Rosario denies it but as the girl raised the question she said to herself "she has good perception. She felt that I have another reason but the truth I don't even know it. I know to myself that is not the only reason for me to help them and she saw through me as well."

The girl said "well, if that's the case I won't pursue you. That truth is I'm still afraid about what happened but I'll give my best shot to tell you what happened."

Rosario sat quietly as the girl started to tell her the story.

To summarize the story, this is what happened. The group of students entered the dungeon in hopes of becoming powerful and rich. They kill the boss level on the 1st and 2nd floor and looted the treasure of it. However, most of them have acquired a greedy thought because of the overwhelming treasure that they acquired, and that leads them to danger on the 3rd floor. When they entered the place, everything seems normal but they stepped into a trap that teleported them into a different dimension. They played a game called the game of the generals where their life is at stake. They die one by one as the game progresses.

They had enough of playing the game so they decided to surrender but there is a condition. If you want to surrender, you must choose at least 5 people that will die.

They've already created their resolve and blindly choose 5 people to die and as they choose, they were all trembling in fear and crying as well.

Rosario said, "I see so this is how they end up but I wonder why they are still alive all this time?" Athena answered, "it was probably the work of that pendant." Rosario asked, "what do you mean?" Athena answered, "your dungeon's weakness is that it cannot detect people with curse objects and magic that is very omnipotent." Rosario said, "wait, so you mean that pendant that I've thrown away has the power to help us to survive this dungeon?" Athena answered, "no master, it may be working for them but not for you." Rosario asked, "why?" Athena answered, "that pendant was created by the Goddess of death Milus and you saw how the pendant reacted to you when you touched it." Rosario said, "yeah, it teleported me into another dimension where Milus is being sealed away and Milus almost killed me." Athena said, "yes master, and this pendant that Milus created is not compatible with you since you are on bad terms with Milus." Rosario sighed and said, "maybe I should make up and apologize to her soon."

Rosario said "by the way, it's almost time. We have to wake them all up." They've both woken all of them up one after another.

Rosario noticed Rory having a nightmare so Rosario rushed toward Rory to give her comfort but as soon as she touches Rory everything changed.

Rosario was forced to go to a different place. Rosario said with disappointment "sigh, not again?! Am I a magnet of being forced to transport into different places?"

Rosario heard the voice of Rory around and she follows it. As she follows the voice she is starting to hear different voices like a lot of people at arenas and coliseums and they were all screaming "kill her!" Over and over.

Rosario saw Rory being chained up in a stone like she was being beheaded by an executioner. Right in front of Rory, there is a little girl that is being stabbed to death all over her body with a sword. Rosario looks around the place and noticed that all of the people around Rory are wearing poker face masks. All of the people around Rory are angels and humans. There are also 2 headless people besides Rory that are being chained up as well.

Rory looks around and shouted "if I manage to set my foot back into the realm of life. I'll kill every last standing human, angels, and Gods!" Rory stared at her executioner and said "and you Sasha Elshaid, I'll make your death as painful as possible! Moreover, I'll make your descendants pay for what you did to me!" The executioner said "as an idiot that is about to die, you talk too much. Only a fool who thinks that they'll be able to escape death without breaking a sweat."

The executioner grabs its axe and Rosario said with worries "I don't like where this is going." Rosario is about to make her move to stop the executioner but the people that are watching the whole scene surround Rosario to stop her. The people that surrounded her held her down.

The executioner walks closer to Rory to behead her. Rosario keeps on trying to break free and shouts over and over "stop it! Don't you dare to touch her!" But the executioner didn't pay any attention and beheaded Rory.

All the people that surround Rosario laughs louder with pleasure as Rorie's head flies out of her body.

Rosario burst out of anger and kill every last person's insight.

Rosario one-handedly carries the person who executed Rory and she takes off the mask of it. Rosario saw a crying elf and she said "whoever makes an enemy of my subordinates will become my enemy as well."

Rosario heard the voice of Rory echoing and said "master, wake up, wake up!" Over and over until she wakes up while breathing heavily.

Rosario said, "I see, I was having a nightmare."

Rory hugged Rosario very tight and said "I'm sorry master. I'm sorry for making you angry and worried master!"

Rosario asked "why are you crying? What's wrong?" Rory answered, "I saw you running on a rampage and killing everyone." Rosario asked "how did she know about that? What is going on?"

Rosario pushed Rory to stop her from hugging herself and said "now it's not the time for this, Rory. For now, we have to…"

The bell that signals the 1 hour starts to make a sound. The sound is very loud this time. The sound is as loud as a gunshot and the walls start to move again.

None of them couldn't stand due to the rumbling and Rosario shouted "everyone! Stay close together! If you can't walk just crawl so that you can group yourselves!"
