Those Three Words

𝐇𝐀𝐒𝐒𝐀𝐍 𝐏𝐎𝐕

"Jhené was naked in her bed waiting for you?" I asked once Adesh was done telling me his crazy story.

"Yep, it was so funny," Adesh said after he took a sip of his whiskey.

"Oh man, so Eve knew about this?" I asked

"I don't think she knows the full story but she did come in the room this morning and saw that Jhené was naked next to me in the bed," Adesh explained.

"Oh my gosh." I shook my head before taking a sip of Whiskey as well, feeling anxious for Eve.

"She probably thought wrong but I have a feeling that Jhené is going to tell her about the whole thing," Adesh reassured me.

"Okay," I nodded my head then we focused back on the movie John Wick, my brother loves the sequel.

"Hey, man. Uh, I heard about Eve, Jhené told me everything about her. Is it true?" Adesh asked after a long moment of silence between us.

"Yeah, man. She was in an abusive relationship." I said thinking about the day Eve told me everything in her bedroom.

"Damn, that must be hard. No wonder why our parents took her in." Adesh said before shaking his head in disappointment.

"I know but I wanna find out more about this Jordan guy. Eve told me that he is very powerful in Nigeria and I want to know why," I said in deep thought and Adesh looked at me with confusion.

"Maybe he's a drug dealer." Adesh shrugged his shoulders and looked back at the TV. I looked at him slowly and he turned his head back at me, looking confused.

"What?" Adesh asked and I pointed at him before standing up.

"Maybe your right. Listen I had a guy he's a private investigator and I had him look up Jordan for me this morning before I went to go pick up Eve. I don't know if he found anything on him yet but I am dying to know." I put my drink down and walked to the kitchen.

Adesh followed behind me and set his drink down on the island, he was quiet cause he was in deep thought.

"So, if you do find out about Jordan. What will you do from there?" Adesh asked and I stopped to look at him.

"I have no idea, maybe get connections from dad to take him down. Eve can't hide from this guy forever, I won't allow it," I said looking around then my phone vibrated out of nowhere. I took it out from my back pocket to look, it was a text message from the private investigator.

"Mate, you know dad would go through extreme measures to take this guy down. Hell, I would too especially if he was laying a hand on Eve for no reason at all." Adesh said his British accent coming out fully now.

Whenever Adesh is emotional his accent comes out more since his father was British and lived in London. After Adesh's father died, Adesh wanted to still visit his close aunties over there and he did a lot.

I looked at my phone closely reading each paragraph the private investigator sent me. I was so deep in thought that I didn't even hear what Adesh was saying then he came next to me and looked at my phone with wide eyes. After a moment of reading in silence, we looked at each other at the same time.

"So, this guy is a-

"Druglord." I finished his sentence and Adesh walked to the cabinet next to me.

"He is going to send me papers and pictures," I said reading the text message then I heard my printer turning on, printing out papers in the corner of the living room.

"This is going to be a long night," Adesh said before pouring himself another drink of whiskey in his glass.

𝐄𝐕𝐄 𝐏𝐎𝐕

"No way, girl." I covered my mouth once she was done talking.

"Yep, I got drunk and almost slept with Adesh," Jhené said before sipping on her water.

"Oh my gosh, that's kind of hilarious." I start to giggle and Jhené playfully hits my arm.

"That's not funny," Jhené says through grunted teeth.

"Well who told you to drink, silly rabbit," I said and she started to laugh.

"Nobody." Jhené sighed in defeat and I laughed some more before I finished eating the rest of the pasta.

"Where are Hassan's parents?" I asked looking around.

"Oh, they went out on a date." Jhené smiled and my eyebrows went up.

"Oh yeah?" I said and Jhené nods. "That's cool, their such a lovely couple." I continued.

"I knowww." Jhené whined and I chuckled.

"They remind me of mom and dad," I said and Jhené exhaled.

"I know, I miss them very much," Jhené said looking out the big window in the living room.

"I feel like it's my fault that we are in this situation," I said Jhené looked at me with sad eyes then she grabbed my hands and made eye contact with me.

"None of this is your fault, okay? Jordan is an evil man and that's it. This has nothing to do with you, you are an amazing person and he didn't see that. That's his lost and not yours, you understand me?" Jhené said and I nodded. "You are a queen and I am pretty sure Hassan is going to be your King very soon." Jhené teased to lighten up the mood and I wiped my tear away, chuckling.

"Thank you, Jhené. For the being the best sister out there." I said and she smiled.

"It's my duty. Now I am tired so I am going to bed." Jhené stood up from the couch and grabbed her plate taking it to the kitchen.

I sat there on the couch and thought about what Jhené said to me. Hassan is really an amazing dude but I don't want anything bad to happen to him. Even though we are far away from Africa, something tells me that Jordan is still looking and waiting for me out there. I shook the thought away and got up from the couch with my plate. Once I got in the kitchen I see Jhené washing her dishes, I come up next to her and take the sponge from her hands

then she takes it back and I look at her confused.

"You don't need to wash anything, I got this." She kissed me on the forehead. "Get some rest, I will be in my room once I am done." She continued to say.

I nodded before leaving my plate on the counter next to her and walked out of the kitchen. I walked upstairs and headed to my room, I closed the door behind me and went inside the bathroom to take a shower. I took my clothes and shoes off then I put my hair up in a bun. I turned on the shower and water came out admittedly, I waited for the water to get warm then I went inside closing the glass door behind me and started to wash my body. Once I was done with the shower I got out and wrapped my body with a white soft towel, I got out the bathroom and went into the closet to find a pair of panties and a pajama set. I saw my beige v neck silk sleeveless shirt with silk sleep shorts, it was a matching set. I loved it because it went with my skin and it felt comfortable to sleep in. Once I was dressed, I got in bed and laid down looking up to the ceiling then out the window. My phone vibrated loudly on the nightstand snapping me out of my thoughts, I looked at the screen and saw that I got a text from Hassan.

I smiled at the text before putting my phone back down on the nightstand letting it charge completely. I couldn't stop thinking about Hassan. He was my big-time crush and I will never forget about that kiss we made at his house it was so passionate. I can't believe he said he loved me and actually took the time out of his day to spend time with me. Jordan couldn't even give me his full attention when I lived with him and if I tried to start a conversation with Jordan, he would ignore me and go about his way. Every time I would talk with Hassan his eyes would sparkle, I know that sounds cliche but he is the man of my dreams. I only knew Hassan for two days and he makes me feel like am his queen already. I don't wanna move too fast in our relationship because what if something bad happens and we're no longer together anymore. What? What am I thinking? Let me just fly with the wind and everything will be alright, I kept saying that before falling asleep.

𝐇𝐀𝐒𝐒𝐀𝐍 𝐏𝐎𝐕

"Hassan, we have been up since eleven. It's four in the morning now, we have to get some sleep." Adesh said as he put the papers down on the table in the living room.

"You can go get some sleep, I will be done in a little bit," I said not looking up from the paper I was reading about Jordan's life with his father.

"I know that's a lie," I hear Adesh say but I ignored his comment and kept reading.

Turns out Jordan's father was in a crime business with his family then moved over to selling drugs as he got older he ended up letting Jordan take over and ever since then he made millions of dollars. The cover-up for the drug business is by doing charities for the poor and for children so people see that he's actually making money from selling drugs to certain people. I understand why Eve told me that he was a powerful man in Africa, he had money and people to do dirty business for him.

"Check this out, Hassan. Jordan sometimes resides in Mexico to get work done over there." Adesh said snapping me out of the paper I was reading.

"That makes sense." I nodded my head trying to go back and read but Adesh stops me.

"Wait there's more, It says that he got engaged to Eve six months ago even while he was in a relationship with Eve he would go over to Mexico and chill with his side chicks, kill people, and start gang wars. Here there are pictures to prove it." Adesh says before handing me three photographs.

It was a picture with Jordan and two girls at a strip club, another one with him and his father walking out a company building, and the last picture shows someone strangling a man in a car with Jordan inside watching with pleasure. Finding out about all of this made me devastated and angry at the fact that no one would try to stand up to this guy, not even the government. It's sad because Eve probably doesn't even know about all of this. She's probably thinking that the reason why her father sent her over here in India, was because of Jordan being abusive. Yes, that's one of the reasons. However, the real reason why Eve's father sent her over here was because of Jordan being in a mob crime family.

"Seriously, Hassan. You need some rest, mate." Adesh put his hand on my shoulder and I nodded before getting up from my chair.

"Alright," I whispered while massaging my neck a little as I walked upstairs with Adesh.

"Good thing, I brought clothes. I thought we were going to have bro night but it ended up being an episode of Narcos." Adesh said making me chuckle.

"Am sorry," I looked at him and he shrugged his shoulders.

"It's fine, mate. At least I got to spend time with my little brother." Adesh patted me on the back and I smiled weakly feeling my sleep come on me.

"Goodnight, man," I said once I stopped in front of my bedroom door.

"Goodnight," Adesh nodded before going inside the guest room that was next to my room.

𝐄𝐕𝐄 𝐏𝐎𝐕

"Eve...Eve wake up." I rubbed my eyes then opened them slowly seeing Jhené sitting next to me.

"What time is it?" I whined putting the covers over my head to block me away from the sun then Jhené took the covers off me.

"It's one something in the afternoon, I want to go swimming with you," Jhené said then I took in her attire, she had on a black bathing suit showing off her arms and legs.

"Okay, give me a minute. I will be downstairs in a few." I said Jhené nodded before getting off the bed and closing the door behind her.

I got out of the bed and headed to the bathroom, I brushed my teeth and got out of my pajamas to change into a bathing suit. I found a yellow bikini in my bag, I know Jhené put this in here. I didn't like wearing bikinis because it would show too much of my body and I have a nice body so that would cause a lot of attention. Since Hassan and Adesh aren't here it was fine for me to wear it, swimming actually wouldn't be too bad at the moment. I put the bikini and my gold sandals on, then I wore a white see-through v neck long sleeve dress and grabbed my phone before heading out the door.

I walked downstairs into the kitchen and out the sliding door where I see Jhené swimming around in the pool playing music out loud through speakers. I didn't know they had Bluetooth speakers out there, this family is lit. Once Jhené turned back around she smiled when she saw me, I took off my dress along with my sandals and stuck my feet in the water to check the temperature. I eventually went into the pool fully with the water up to my chest, it felt nice and relaxing. Jhené swims toward me and stood next to me.

"Hey," I smiled.

"Hey, how did you sleep?" Jhené asked as she swims around.

"Good, how did you sleep?" I asked starting to swim next to her.

"I slept good, " She shrugged her shoulders and I played with the water.

"I see you wearing my bikini," Jhené smirked and I shook my head.

"Only you, " I said and she chuckled.

"You know Hassan texted me last night," I started to smile.

"Oh yeah? What did he say?" Jhené asked coming close to me.

"He said he loved me, " I said and Jhené covered her mouth.

"Aww, that's cute," Jhené rubbed my back.

"I know," I smiled like a middle school girl telling someone about her crush.

"I swear, Eve. If Hassan doesn't wife you up someone else will, probably one of his friends." Jhené smirked and I pushed her playfully making her laugh.

"What friends?" I asked curiously after our laughter died down.

"You know. Remy, Abhay, and Abdul." Jhené counted her fingers as she said their names.

"Nah, I mean they are good looking but Hassan is mine." I teased before Jhené and I giggled together.

"I bet," Jhené said making me laugh more then she joined me.

"What are you two laughing about?" We hear a familiar voice ask then we both turned around slowly to see Adesh and Hassan standing next to each other.

"None of your business, Adesh," Jhené said making me chuckle then Adesh took off his shirt and shoes before diving in the pool causing a big splash.

"Hey, Adesh," I said once he came out of the water.

"Really, Adesh." Jhené gave Adesh a stern look and he pointed at her then looked at me.

"Looks like Eve is the only one who has manners around her." Adesh gave an unbelievable look on his face while Jhené looked displeased at his slick joke, I chuckled at them.

I looked behind Adesh as he bothered Jhené and saw Hassan looking out into space, I swim over to him leaving Jhené and Adesh behind as they talked. Once I made it to Hassan, he looked down at me and smiled widely.

"Hey," I said softly.

"Hey," Hassan said before giving me a kiss on the lips. His lips were so soft and his hand made me melt as he caressed my cheek while we kissed.

"So, are you getting in the pool or what?" I asked. Hassan looked at the pool then he took off his shirt and shoes.

His abs looked so amazing in the sunlight and his arms were built just the right way, I can tell he worked out a lot. Hassan walked in the water and stood right next to me then he turned around, now

I was facing his back looking confused.

"Hop on," Hassan said and I shrugged my shoulders before going on his back, he held onto my legs for a moment then he let go of them. However, I wrapped my legs around his waist then he started swimming fast making me giggle out loud.

"Hey, you guys wanna race?" Adesh asked once we got to the edge of the pool.

"Your on," Hassan says I shake my head and I see Jhené doing the same.

"Oh, brother," I exhaled before I hopped on Hassan's back and Jhené hops on Adesh back.
