(Chapter 45)

....

The whole room became silent after a loud thud was heard, more importantly it echoed from the generals' direction.

"Agree my arse!" Nazumoto mumbled, as he kept his clenched fists vibrating viciously on the table.

"What's wrong with him, is he possessed?" The sixth seat wondered.

"There's no reason to get pissed off this time. Is there? And besides when they talked about high ranked fighters, it excluded us since we are above that." Hinata muttered. "You had better apologize for your sudden outburst quickly." She conveyed her message to Nazumoto in a way only that could only be heard by him since he was sitting right beside her.

"Do you have any objections to the idea?" The central leader asked while keeping his cool. Even Minamino was quite surprised of what he just saw with his two naked eyes, the central leader still kept his cool after Nazumoto's brusque behavior.

"I knew he was a little different." Hiroshi thought.

Hiroshi really disliked the centrals. In fact, most people hated them because they felt they were too quick and rash in their decision making, and they held too much of powers and protection for people with little to no fighting experience.

But they had no choice than to obey, since they were like the king's mouthpiece. They reported the situation of the country and other things related to it, while the king gives them his verdict.

It was like the King made the laws, while the centrals enforced it. Of course, using the army and other mighty means to carry out their enforcement duties.

However, what Hiroshi was weary of was how they could be certain that the centrals reported every scene or matter to the king. And if they did, do they carry out the King's order still? But that wasn't meant to be a problem for now, or so he assumed.

One thing he was aware of, was that apart from Minamino the head general who is also known as the general of the army, the other generals hatred for the centrals was way colossal than the little grudge he had for them.

His sister, General Hinata felt the same as him which was fine but on the other hand, General Kiirito had never been summoned by the centrals out of the fear for his very presence.

He had that expression that a human with a heart can never attain, the looks on his face can toss onlookers into oblivion.

He had no ounce of emotion in his blank eyes, and was always silent. If one placed their ears on his chest, they couldn't even hear the slightest beat of his heart. Others were really starting to believe he was blind and dumb from the way he behaved.

They weren't a hundred percent right, neither were they a hundred percent wrong. But that's not what we all came here to observe was it? Let's keep further detailing of him till another day.

And finally Nazumoto; he still went on missions or tasks assigned by the centrals, only he was a bit hot headed. So anytime he appeared in front of the centrals, they tried their best not to irritate him with their questions.

As for the other generals that remained, namely:

*Tite Minamino (General of the Army),

*Kazumino Hiroshi (General),

*Kazumino Hinata (Lieutenant General),

They had little to no problems dealing with them, as they seemed to be quite loyal and humble whenever they were asked to do something, which made them to be used frequently by the centrals, more than the other two.

Although Minamino mostly gave orders to the centrals, he still had to carry out some missions on the central's request.

Normally the generals were the strongest in the country, and their closest rivals were the soul heaters who were able to be compared to them; given the intensity of their training and missions. But for a balanced nation, the centrals have been used as a form of power that would keep the army in place.

Making them (the centrals) the next most influential power after the king. This was decided long ago by one of the kings, and some royal families that ruled back then.

Only the soul heaters had equal influence as the centrals, they were sixty in number, and Jinoshi was their current leader. Their strength was split in half by the King, thirty of them protected the king, while the other thirty worked with the army and centrals. This included Jinoshi, making it thirty and one sole leader.

Even the generals were weary of the soul heaters might, and they believed with their strength, all members of the soul heaters would at least be high ranked fighters.

"Yes I do." Nazumoto replied with a calmer tone. Hinata observed he was breathing in and out slowly to ease himself.

"Looks like he paid attention to my anti-temper workout advice." She thought while giggling slightly.

The central leader nodded his head, this was to tell Nazumoto that he could continue with his complaint

"The idea isn't bad but, the structure of the whole idea seems to be poor in my own opinion." Minamino observed. "Sending that amount of men with two of our skilled fighters' sounds like we already want lives to be wasted needlessly even before the battle began." Others were now getting convinced with his observations and explanations, as most of them were now nodding their head in his support.

"You're very right on opposing it, but the main problem here is do you have another way out of this?" The 2nd seat inquired.

"Don't tell me you had no solutions after the commotion you caused few minutes ago." Paul said mockingly.

"Pipe down!" Nazumoto yelled. "I didn't want to do this at first but, it looks like it would stain my ego as a general."

"Which ego?" Hinata muttered to herself. "Wait, don't tell me..." * "There's no need to get involved, you did nothing wrong" She thought.

General Nazumoto was now the Centre of attraction in the building as he finally let out is own plan.

"Just give me three thousand men, fill them with more freshmen" He said. "I need to prove to you all I didn't become a general by mistake."

"This is a challenge to you all." He stretched his palm open towards the others. "If I lose, I'll relinquish my position as a general." He sounded so cool, that Hinata wanted to clap for him but she couldn't. To avoid embarrassing herself. Everyone from the third party's eyes widened like they just heard the voice of a hero.

"Fine then, but what would you say to the G-5 if you ended up fighting and killing their people?" The central leader asked.

"Oh that?" Nazumoto sneered with confidence. "We could frame a story saying that we weren't aware of whatever they wanted, and we thought they were spies or rebels from another country so we decided to eliminate them as soon as possible." He finished the statement half grinning.

"What a master planner!" Paul exclaimed inwardly.

"Good, but you mustn't fail!" The central leader said, hoping to make him reconsider

"He who fails to plan, plans to fail." Nazumoto quoted without a wavering.

"Any contributions?" The central leader asked Minamino.

"No! But even if he doesn't succeed, the plan of relinquishing his position will not stand as far as I live." Minamino uttered with his eyes closed.

Everyone finally accepted Nazumoto as the candidate to go on this quest, alongside three thousand soldiers by foot.

Failure wasn't an option!

_'*'_

In a clumsy and thick forest, an individual could be seen lying on the floor lifelessly with his forehead faced down. His hands were bleeding, and his clothes roughed up. Next to him, was another person who was standing upright. He looked at the person on the floor without taking his eyes off him

"Is that all you got Fushi? Are you finished?!" Steve Clark echoed, as droplets of rain were beginning to descend from the sky.
