Interlude ─ Field of Flowers

On a certain island in the Altfode Kingdom stood a man planting some flowers.

He looked like a gardener, though he was a novice at it.

It was... Jerico, who survived thanks to the excellent resistance of Ixion armor.

A girl approached him, around him were robots with shotguns. They were loaded with non-lethal ammunition.

When Bell arrived in the Kingdom she went straight to the palace to show them a video in which Alisa declared that their sentence should be lowered and the pirates should not be executed.

The ministers refused, they are pirates they said.

Bell also showed a video of Ixion which said that if they didn't do it, he would destroy the economy of the Kingdom.

The frightened ministers listened to him.

So Jerico and the other pirates were sent to work under supervision.

"What are you planting?"

Asked the girl to Jerico, who was planting a beautiful white flower.

He told her.

"I don't know its name, but it's a beautiful flower that reminds me of someone."

Jerico looked at that white flower, that iris. Airi's smiling face appeared in his head.

"I'm still inexperienced at this and I don't know how to take care of them."

"My mom taught me, do you want me to help you?"

"... Please do."

The girl sat next to Jerico and taught him how to take care of the flowers, about the kind of soil they need and water.

This was a small step of Rudel's belief. "Everyone deserves a second chance."

And pirates were no exception.
