Chapter 015- Isolated warehouse

"Still no traces of Roman?" Rogue asked as he entered his room. Merton and Marius were already inside with grim expressions. "You're the best at your job, Merton, surely there's some good news."

"This is insane. It's been days and there's still nothing about Roman. What about the cops? What if he's dead?"

"Roman wouldn't die easily, nobody would dare harm my brother." Rogue declared with a determined expression. "Has anybody made a move recently?" He turned to Marius.

"Everyone seemed to be walking on eggshells since the incident,"

"That's not much good news."

Merton tapped on his computer, "You aren't going to that school, are you?" He asked. "That school is strange. Strange things happen now and then." He glanced at Rogue with an uncertain look.

Marius then said with an unreadable expression. "The mysterious murder of a nineteen-year-old girl was covered up as overfeeding. Two females were found dead with white fluid on their bodies. It was said to be a fight between them."

"How do you know all this?" Rogue capped his eyes at him.

"Only the parents of the victims know this, but I have my ways. I'm not just killing, Rogue, I'm also good at investigating." Marius crossed his arms.

"Don't worry, I'll be careful." A knock came on the door, it was time for dinner. "And on second thought, don't the both of you need to enroll? None of you got to finish your education."

Merton groaned audibly. "Don't punish us because your father punished you. Education at this age is a no for me."

"You two are getting enrolled. That's an order." He didn't wait for Merton to grumble and exited the door.

He walks down the stairs to the dining room. His father was already there.

"Ivanna left for the university today, why haven't you yet?" Mr. Quinn asked as he took another bite. "Don't tell me you're scheming on changing your mind. You know what will happen if you do. Those people might even come for you as they came for Roman."

"I'm not. Don't worry, Father, I know I'm safe. I don't mess with or hang out with bad people."

"That's a relief."

The dining was filled with silence.

Ivanna walked through the corridor with her suitcases as her eyes scanned the map in her palm. Her dorm was AB 409, the corridor was floored with people hurrying to their classes. She was starting her classes the next day.

"Watch where you're going," She was shoved to the corner by a heavy body. She stabilized her body and glanced up to see who it was, but everybody seemed to be minding their business. Strange.

She got to her room, inserted the key on the lock, it unlocked, and she slid inside. She switched on the light and dropped her suitcases near the wall. The room had two beds.

She hadn't gotten the time to glance through the rule book yet.

As she sat on her bed in silence, the door burst open and three masked men entered. Before she could scream, one of them brought out a knife and thrust it into her gut. A silent cry left her lips.

Her limp body fell to the ground.

_-_-_-_

Ivanna flinched off her bed in alarm, sweat crawled down her spine and neck. She was horrified by the scary nightmare she just had.

She glanced at the wall clock and realized it was a few minutes past nine in the evening, curfew was at ten.

It's her first night at the dormitory and she already had a scary dream. Her feet slipped into her slippers and she stepped nearer to her window. Her roommate hadn't resumed. As she stared out of the window, she noticed two individuals in an intimate stance. Intimacy between the students was forbidden, that was the second rule in the rule book. Anyone caught would be expelled, and yet, here they are.

This made her mind drift off to Rogue Quinn. He is the fourth person to want her dead, and the only person among the four to show his intentions on killing her. She just hoped no one in the university would also want her dead.

As she was deep in thought, she didn't realize the couple looking at her. "She's the one, isn't she?" The lady asked. "Why is she at this school?" She turned to face the male.

The male smirked. "Inviting trouble for herself." He kissed the girl on the cheek. "It has to be his doing, I wonder why he's still after her."

"What are we gonna do now? Help her?"

"I would've loved to befriend her." He wrapped his fingers around the girl's neck and pulled her closer to him. "But we wouldn't want him on our trail. That guy is a maniac." He let go of the girl when he noticed Ivanna wasn't watching anymore. "Act ended. She's gone." The girl released a relief sign and drifted further from the man.

"Should we tell her?"

The boy threw her a ridiculed look. "She would know if he wanted her to know."

______________

Far away from the university and dorms, near a deserted Mansion stood a young male and a middle-aged woman.

"What is it?" The woman asked.

"Aunty, it's been a while."

"Yeah, it has." The woman said, nodding her head. She gazed at the man before her with uncertainty and concern. "Is there a problem? How's Stella?"

"Mom's fine. I was passing by and it got late. So I stopped here to see if I could spend the night."

"You're free to visit anytime, Rogue, it's always open for you."

"Thanks, Aunty," Rogue bowed a little.

"Don't mention my little Rogue." The woman said with a smile.

The two of them stepped into the Mansion, it was huge and beautiful. But the weird part was that it was built in a deserted area.

Rogue said his hello's to his aunt's husband and children, she was the older sister of his mother. So her children were a little older than him.

She gave him a room to spend the night, and he thanked her again.

Later that night, Rogue woke as he heard the sound of a moving vehicle. He peeped out of his window and noticed a motorcycle about to leave the Mansion. He then quickly wore his black coat and slipped out of the room. He quietly climbed down the stairs and exited the Mansion.

He then made his way to an isolated warehouse.
