Ready For War

The king finished his speech with some information about the war and we went to our rooms to rest. Just as I was about to enter my room, King Aoin looked at me and said, "Ryuu, I want to talk to you about something."

I nodded and replied, "Of course, we can talk in my room."

When we entered my room, the king looked around briefly and then began to speak. "I want to talk to you because there is something I want to know," he said. "The wound you recently received was too much for a human to bear. To face such power, you must come from a strong lineage and harbor great strength."

"I suppose you want to know what my lineage is," I replied. "As a king, you have a right to know the lineage of your allies, so I can tell you my lineage without hesitation. I am of Wolf Lineage."

"I should have known, only a wolf would try so hard but don't worry, the secret of your lineage is in safe hands with me," he said. "But do your friends know?"

"They know," I replied. "It wouldn't be right to keep secrets from people who would fight with me."

"I understand," he said. "You trust each other, which is good. But you have to be careful. It would be very dangerous for you to reveal your bloodline out there or anywhere."

"If you mean for Miron…"

"No, it's not just for him," he interrupted. "It's dangerous in Miron, but that's not the only reason. A long time ago, before Alpha Prime, the Wolf lineage was very dangerous because of the man at its head - the man who created the Wolf Bloodline. He was ruthless; even my eldest brother Yores couldn't fight him."

"I'm sorry, but I still don't understand what you mean," I said.

"The leader of the Wolf lineage aimed to create a world where only the strong survived. This caused fear among other people and lineages. Despite their efforts, no one could stop him until my father, the first king, and Alpha Prime, intervened. After this battle, Jiro became known as "Alpha Prime". He became the head of his Lineage and made a treaty with the King, bringing peace.

"Is that why the Wolf breed is despised?" I asked.

"Some believe so, but others disagree. After the epics came, your bloodline was completely excluded. Somehow it continued to be seen as evil. Now it seems like just a dream. The Wolf lineage is the wildest and strongest of all lineages. If you can't control it, you may harm those around you without thinking. So try to stay calm and don't hold grudges."

"I'll do my best. I will prove that my bloodline is innocent again. No matter how long it takes, we will live in peace again."

"I can see why you want to fight the saga so badly now. If you do what people want and become someone like Alpha Prime, I assure you that your bloodline will find peace again."

"Your information is very useful and thank you for believing in me," I said.

"Alpha Prime was once my hero, too. I would love to see a hero like him again. Anyway, get some rest before it's too late. We leave in two days."

After our talk, the king left the room and I lay down on the bed to rest.

The second elite soldier quickly approached the First Epic sitting on the throne,

"Sir, as you requested, we have gathered our men everywhere, and we are ready to go to war."

"Great, victory will soon be ours."

"Sir, forgive me, but is it possible that we can take this war while the King has sided with them?"

"I understand your concern, but I assure you, this war will be on our side. All I ask is that you kill that boy and his friends."

"What about the King and the Leader, Sir?"

"Leave them to me, and I will take care of them myself."

Finally, after two days, my wounds were fully healed and I was ready for battle. Thanks to the doctors and my Wolf power's endurance, I recovered quickly. All preparations were complete. Hundreds of soldiers on horses stood waiting for news of the King's move.

We rode our horses to the front line of the soldiers. The King, riding a white horse, was standing in front of us to make a speech.

"My brothers and friends, this is the day. Today, we end the war and reclaim our freedom. I can't make amends for my past mistakes, but let me be your king once again today and guide you. So that we may honor our kingdom with victory!"

After the king made his speech, he reared his horse, and all the soldiers shouted, "Long live our King, Aoin!" The soldiers rode their horses, following the King. The air was filled with the sound of their cheers. I rode with my friends among hundreds of the King's soldiers. I could see that everyone was ready to fight with enthusiasm. Just as the people of the Naiton trusted their Leader, the soldiers here trusted their King.

If we kept going at this pace, as predicted, we would reach the battlefield tomorrow morning under the sun, and I was sure of it. The wind was on our side. At that moment Babu approached me on his horse and said something.

"I think the naiton's lineage has already reached the jungle. Don't you?"

"Most likely, they have arrived. Why did you ask?"

"Any unexpected attack can start a war, so I'm afraid of that."

"Don't worry, I'm sure we'll make it in time."

"I don't want to alarm you, Ryuu, but this war is a big war, so big that the fate of the First Kingdom depends on it. And so does ours. So let's do our best."
