Reunion

Gu Yuena snapped at Anping: "What? Do you think I only know how to shop?"

Anping sensed Gu Yuena's location. She was in Skysea City. He said, "I'm just joking. You're in Skysea City now. Is the exchange group ready to leave?"

Gu Yuena said, "Yeah, we'll leave in three days. Have you fixed your martial soul problem? If not, it's no big deal. We're going to the Star Luo Empire and Di Tian will be with us. We won't run into any trouble."

She didn't think anything could trouble them, unless the God Realm returned, or the planet's will revealed itself, or the abyssal plane invaded.

A teasing voice came from the side. "Hey, you two, get a room. I didn't see anyone else here. Why did Sister Nana suddenly come to the rooftop?"

Gu Yuena glared at her. "You're just jealous. Why don't you get a boyfriend? You must have had plenty of admirers at Sun Moon academy."

"I'll worry about that later. I'm not interested in that right now." Xu Xiaoyan waved her hand dismissively.

"Suit yourself." Gu Yuena said. She pulled Anping toward the exit. "Let's go see Dean Hongchen."

"Hmph, you forget your friends when you have a boyfriend." Xu Xiaoyan muttered and followed them.

Soon, they reached Ling Hongchen's room. He opened the door when he heard the knock. He saw Anping and welcomed them in with excitement. He smiled and said, "Gu Yuena told me you had a problem with your martial soul. I thought you wouldn't make it. Have you solved it?"

He was thrilled to see them. The exchange group was not just for fighting. Anping and Gu Yuena were invited because they were young and powerful.

He had heard that the Star Luo Empire had moved up the date of the soul master competition. They wanted to welcome the exchange group from the Sun-Moon Federation.

He had also heard that several geniuses had emerged from their Monster Academy. They wanted to show the Sun-Moon Federation that their Soul Master Academy was not inferior to the one on the Douluo Continent.

Anping took out his tea set and brewed some tea. He said, "Yeah, it's not a big problem. I've solved it."

Ling Hongchen was not surprised by Anping's actions. He took a cup of tea and thanked him. They chatted for a while, then the conversation turned to soul guides. Gu Yuena and Xu Xiaoyan were left out.

Xu Xiaoyan watched them interact and whispered to Gu Yuena in surprise: "Is that really our dean?"

She had rarely seen Ling Hongchen at Sun Moon Academy. He always seemed elusive and serious. She never expected him to have such a lively side.

Gu Yuena said helplessly, "You'll get used to it. They're always like this when they're together."

Xu Xiaoyan nodded and chatted with Gu Yuena about other things.

Time flew by and it was noon. Anping checked the time and said, "Dean, it's lunchtime. Let's take a break and get something to eat."

Ling Hongchen looked at the clock and said, "Is it that late already? I have an appointment with the teacher from Shrek Academy to talk about the exchange group. Do you want to join us?"

Xu Xiaoyan tugged on Gu Yuena's arm, feeling awkward. She didn't want to face Shrek Academy, where she had dropped out.

Gu Yuena understood her reluctance and said, "Dean, we'll pass."

"That's fine, you have some free time before we leave anyway. You can explore Skysea City." He glanced at Anping and Gu Yuena and changed the subject. "It's a shame that you two haven't made Battle Armour yet. If you had..."

Anping shook his head and said, "Dean, I've told you before, the Battle Armour is not a priority for us right now. We're not planning to join the army or anything. You should go meet the Shrek people soon. Don't keep them waiting. We're going to eat too."

Ling Hongchen wasn't surprised by his answer. He knew them well enough to trust their strength.

But he still felt a bit regretful that they hadn't made Battle Armour. He had asked them why, and they always said they were focusing on cultivation for now, and they would think about Battle Armour later.

Anping finished speaking and pulled Gu Yuena toward the door. Xu Xiaoyan followed them quickly. Ling Hongchen watched them go and shook his head. He sighed softly and didn't say anything else.

The three of them had been to Skysea City before. They left the hotel and headed straight for a restaurant. They hadn't booked a private room in advance, and it was busy at lunchtime. They had to settle for a table by the window in the lobby.

Xu Xiaoyan remembered what Ling Hongchen had said and asked Gu Yuena, "Sister Nana, have you not made your battle armor yet?"

Gu Yuena shook her head. She didn't mind telling her. She hadn't asked before, that was all.

Xu Xiaoyan looked puzzled. "Why not? I heard that the Battle Armour boosts the soul master's strength a lot. With your level, you'd be even stronger with the Battle Armour."

Gu Yuena shrugged. "It's too time-consuming, and the battle armor doesn't really help us much. Besides, it's ugly."

Xu Xiaoyan was about to say something, but a snide voice interrupted them. "Ugly? What a strange excuse. Is it because you can't make battle armor, huh?"
