20. Too weak

As they walked and spoke, his whole body relaxed and his expression became warm. No one ever saw him this way, not even his family.

It seemed like he was hiding this only for one person. And that person was Li Na.

Warm, but not hot, the sunshine shone over her head and made everyone look at the child twice. The two buns had cute shiny butterflies. The cute little face and her chirping voice made them look at her with astonishment.

Even her clothes were cute. A pale pink dress with white and pink flowers. Even her shoes were pink. The tiny pink cloud passed them and soon left.

As she left, a sudden feeling of loss spread in their hearts. Like a ray of tiny sunshine, she warmed this place a bit and now the winter is back, cold and scary.

After walking for some time around, Li Na felt tired. She stopped and saw his wondering face. "Big brother, you have long and strong legs, so this must be a small walk for you, but for me, this is too much. I'm tired. Can you show me the rest of the house some other time? I'll be here for the whole month."

He turned his head and sighed as he saw them walking just a bit further away from his room. How soft are these child's muscles? But then looked at her pressed lips and tiny drops of sweat and remembered her mother's words "Our Li Na is a very sensitive child..."

He slowly went down and pointed at his back. "Come, I'll carry you."

She nodded and carefully put her hands tightly onto his shoulders. Looking at her being careful he took her hands and put them closer to his neck. "Hold tight until I pick you up."

She leaned on his broad back and suddenly felt weightless. Her hands automatically squeezed around his neck, but she released them right after that. She feared to choke him.

"Do you want to go to your room first?" He carefully walked towards his grandma's house.

"Yes, please." She needed to give them packages.

Not long after they stood in front of a huge open door and entered a beautiful garden. This was the only place in the whole house that had pretty flowers. Even his mother just set a pond and bamboos in her place for an elegant feeling.

Li Na saw a sea of colours and smiled. "How pretty."

With a warm smile, he put her down carefully. "It's not far from your room. Do you wanna watch the flowers?"

Li Na shook her head. "Flowers will be here tomorrow as well. My room first and then I need to see your family."

Suddenly, they all came out and walked towards her out of grandma's house. They already heard that she was awake and on her way here, so they waited for Wang Weiming to bring her.

Li Na cutely bowed in front of them. "I'm sorry about before. It was rude for me to fall asleep just like that."

General Wang looked at his grandson's face that was filled with warmth and realized that this boy was already now a lost case. Feeling a bit bad for the little girl, he crouched down and patted her head. "Sorry child."

She could only stare at him in confusion and suddenly a hand came from his back and smacked his head. "Idiot."

Lee Meili loved her husband and knew him throughout. She could almost read his thoughts as he said those words. What sorry? Is he trying to scare the child?

"Don't listen to this old fool. Come with grandma." She took Li Na by her hand and slowly walked towards her room.

Looking at the old-style house, Li Na was curious. The big roof over the building that had a few rooms and in the side few other buildings connected to the main one with covered wooden pathways.

Even if it's raining it was comfortable to walk around. Her own room was huge and quite cute.

As it seems grandma wanted her to see the flowers in the room, so she cut some and put them everywhere around the room. "Pretty!"

Her cute voice made everyone smile. Even servants were happily smiling as she entered the room. Inside a few big boxes stood, unopened.

She let go of grandma's hand and looked at Wang Weiming. "Big brother, can you help me with the boxes?"

She pointed at two huge boxes on the side. He went there and saw boxes made out of the thick brown paper. Not knowing how to open, he looked around it, then at her.

She chuckled and took a small accessory out of her hair and slowly pocked the sides of the box. The popping sound made them curiously look at it. With a swift motion, she pulled the tape and the boxes opened up.

She slowly opened the box and soft silk paper could be seen. She opened the end of the paper and looked at him. "This is the protection gear father has made for you and in the other box, for your grandfather. He didn't eat or sleep properly for almost three weeks as he wanted to make it as strong as possible, but at the same time wearable so you two can fight without a problem."

She wanted to take it out but it was too heavy for her tiny hands. Wang Weiming chuckled as he saw her stubborn expression as she tried over and over again.

"Stop it. It's too heavy for you. Let big brother take it. I need to feel the texture anyway." He felt worried that she might hurt herself if she continues acting this way.

With a cute pout, she let it go and looked at him and then at them and almost started laughing.
