Chapter 15 "Flashback"

The beeping continued for almost 20 seconds but both Fabian and Karter were busy thinking about ways to fight against Walker family as looking at the way Vince was killed and hung this was most probably the declaration of war by the Walker family. "We need to inform the family's head as soon as possible. The Walker family had probably found out about our assassination attempt and could be waiting for us to leave the city to attack the family's headquarters" said Fabian for which Karter nodded his head expressing his acknowledgement. When the time was nearing thirty seconds the beeping became faster and "boom". There was a huge explosion from within the cloth wrapped around the body as both Fabian and Karter were blasted away as they were standing near the body of Vince.

Fabian had lost his right hand and there was a huge hole in his right side of chest exposing his flesh and ribs, his right side of face was completely chared with his eyeball popping out of his socket. Fabian was barely hanging to his life. Karter was lucky as he was charred beyond recognition and dead instantly, as in this situation death was a much than being alive like Fabian who was completely wasted. Fabian who was barely hanging to his life was moaning in pain as he heard another fast beeping noise but this time from four different directions all from nearby trees as he lifted his head to see a blurry image of a numbers displayed in digital screen. Just as the numbers hit 0 Fabian shouted "Fuck" and a huge blast from four different directions swept over and instantly killed Fabian.

Meanwhile at the campsite the guards were in the campsite waiting for both their captain and second elder to return. They had waited for almost an hour when suddenly a huge explosion was heard as the ground below them shook. The guards were startled by the sudden explosion and just as one of the guards suggested that they go and check the situation, they heard beeping sound from their surrounding. A guard near a tree heard the sound from the tree and checked it to see a digital display with numbers displaying in it as they were decreasing and many thread like objects in red and blue colour were connecting between a tube like object. The guard not knowing what it was shouted he had found something as he brought it to the group of guards who were near center of the campsite. The other guards also discovered these similar objects being stuck in tree while wrapped in a cover, however these were without a digital display as they brought to the same place. Just as they were going to investigate what this object was the numbers which were decreasing hit zero and "boom" a chain of explosions were heard as all the bombs exploded with the gap of two seconds. The explosion continued for 10 seconds and once it was finished there were no one alive as the entire campsite was blazing in flames while bodies were dismembered and charred while some were burning alive. The entire campsite turned into an inferno as trees too caught fire however they did not spread as this was the Rainforest as rain quickly extinguished the fire.

Flashback 3 days ago.

Sean and company had immediately set off from camp and traveled the whole day and stopped only at night. That day they had travelled for almost 200 Kms. That night once everyone were settled inside the camp to sleep the night while guard stayed vigilant a person quickly sneaked out of the camp while tranquilizing Wendell. This was Sean as he planned to return to the camp to set up a trap to the Vasily family whom he deduced would check once there was no news from Vince. He travelled in an off road car Jeep Wrangler which costed around 3 million dollars from the system. He reached the campsite within 4 hours and quickly found Vince who was scavenged by wild animals. He quickly shooed the animals using his gun and strapped a C4 explosive over a waterproof cover, placed an audio recorder with his prank and finally wrapped the cloth like mummy. He then set various C4's around the trees in both the campsite as well as in the forest where Vince was killed. He set the trigger at three different places which will start the timer of C4 strapped on Vince which will cause a chain reaction to all C4's in the surroundings. He also set a camera to watch the whole scenario in case the trap did not function or wild animals triggered the trap. He returned back to the camp where they were currently staying within 4 hours and got inside the carriage. The tranquilliser works for a total of 10 hours during which Wendell was knocked out.

At present

Inside the inn where they were staying Sean was looking at the video in his laptop which was a live telecast of what happened in the site while sipping a juice in his bed. This idea came to him when he saw how these guys did not react well during his sniping. He once again affirmed his belief that no matter how strong a person is information is the fundamental to any war. As these people did not have any information about bombs and guns they were easily killed despite being strong.

At first Sean was shocked when he saw his gun,knife and extreme parkour skills being level 1 as before he saw they were at special forces level. After the attack on the bandits he finally understood that his level is beyond the level of special forces as he can utilise his guns as if they were an extension of his arm. Especially the last sniping where he had to shoot Vince in his thigh despite moving at high speed as he felt the movement of Vince slowdown for a second as he aimed at him.

Sean was happy about his earnings especially when he saw that actual killing of targets will increase the skill level as he could feel that his gun skill has improved despite it still being in level 1 as he knew that another 10 missions would probably what he need to enter level 2 and thought if he had killed before he would have surpassed his present level however he did not regret it as he had too few information about warriors, knights and mages to take the risk of entering actual combat.

As he thought of this battle his mind wandered off to a distant memory where he remembered his time in Private military where in a escort mission they had to guard an arms dealer in Iraq and during the mission they encountered an ambush where their enemy even had better equipment, but they still were killed by us due to difference in our skills. The bandits he encountered the other day were of similar scenario as despite them having a tactical advantage they still were killed by him.
