What a strange cave

In the quiet and peaceful forest, the birds were chirping some heartwarming melodies. They were getting ready for the day by cleaning their features and styling their looks. Until suddenly a distant sound came from within the forest, it gradually became louder and...

"Run!"

Shouting and yelling noises disturb the serenity of the forest, the birds that were all sitting on the tree branches fly into the sky, hastily.

"Why the fuck, is it chasing us for ?!"Liam yelled as he dashed through the forest."How the hell are we going to stop it?!"

"I think it won't let us off easily!" Leo shouted back, he was a few steps behind Liam."We need a distraction!"

"What's your plan then?!"He asked as he turned around to see the beast.

White milky color fur and spikey as a needle, face of a fox, the size of a wolf and lastly the blue deadly eyes.

It was closing in on Leo as Leo rummaged through his bag, he didn't slow down his pace but instead, it was the beast that was running faster.

"Leo! Watch out!"He warned as he turned around and aimed his arrow at the beast.

He shot his arrow and the beast immediately stopped and jumped back. It then spun around, its tail slashed the ground and an ice wall formed in front of it, blocking the arrow off.

"Fuck!"Liam cursed as he saw his arrow fall to the ground, uselessly.

"Thanks!"Leo thanked him and caught up next to him.

"For what?"Liam asked, he didn't shout since Leo was now right next to him.

"For saving me, duh.And here."He handed Liam a potion, the liquid inside was like magma, even though the lid wasn't open, just from staring at it Liam could feel the heat from it."Use this to distract it!"

"How?"Liam asked, worriedly and scared.

Leo stared at him with a done face and looked to his bow.

"Oh..."Liam's face flushed as he took the fire potion from Leo.

He opened the lid and hot air wafted out. He poured it on his arrow's tip, which was made out of steel like Leo's sword so it didn't melt, he turned around and shot the arrow. He didn't hit it directly, the arrow was just an inch away from the beast. It managed to stop in time but fire began to engulf the grasses and nature around it.

The creature left no choice but to surrender, it was trying to cool off the fire and Liam and Leo took that chance to run as far as possible away from it. They ran for a long while, making a safe, long distance from it. Then, they turned a corner and quickly hid behind a huge, old forest tree. They were catching their breath as they sat on the grassy ground.

Leo was peeking out of the tree from time to time to make sure the beast didn't catch up.

"We finally escape..."Liam said in relief as he greedily inhaled the air around them.

"Ya..."Leo sighed, he was breathing heavily as well but more shallow."That was tiring..."

Silence filled the air as they continued to soothe their breathing, after some time they managed to calm down. Leo suddenly thought of a topic to clear the awkward silence.

"I didn't know you could run so fast," Leo asked with teasing intentions.

"What do you think? My life was in danger!"Liam defended himself, he really wasn't the sporty, energetic type but when it comes to his life, nothing can chase up to him.

"But I still didn't know you could run like that!"Leo chuckled and Liam turned away from him with pouted cheek.

Leo saw his reaction and let out a soft chuckle, then proceeded to take a map out of his bag. He was relocating their position but it was harder to do so since they were running away from it like headless chickens. They just ran to places that wouldn't lead them to cliffs or any dead ends.

Liam was now looking at the map and Leo was pointing to the spot where they rested before. Suddenly, a drop of water landed on his map. Both of them looked up and suddenly more and more raindrops began falling down from the sky.

Leo hastily shoved the map back into his bag and they ran away to seek shelter. Rain heavily poured down as both of them dashed to find a roof above their head. After some time, Liam seemed to see something through the heavy rain.

"Look over there!"He shouted to Leo, his voice a little hesitant."It seemed to be a cave!"

"Let's go in! Better than staying out here!"Leo yelled back as lighting began to strike.

Both of them dashed in without a single thought, the moment the thunderstruck, Liam threw his worried heart away and listened to Leo's suggestion.

They were stepping on puddles of rainwater and mud as they rushed to the now-in-sight cave. They were close and soon they made it. The cave sheltered them from the rain but they were already soaked from head to toe. Waters dripped down from their clothes and hair uncontrollably.

Liam tried his best to squeeze out as much water from his shirt while Leo didn't bother and took off his wet shirt immediately. To be honest, Leo looked awesome with his half-naked body and his wet hair that was stuck to his face, almost covering his eyes. (He always has messy hair but it doesn't look bad on him)

Water was running down his amazingly built muscles and Liam couldn't help but stare at his perfectness until he realized where he was staring due to Leo's eyes. Liam was looking at Leo's perfect body when he looked up to see Leo's red eyes staring at him. He was like a different person, his red eyes were like a predator's gaze and his red hair that almost covered his face added to it. It made him look intimidating.

Liam flinched he was shocked by Leo's looks but his cheeks were flushing as well because he was staring attentively at his body.

"Who the fuck are you?!"He immediately asked, he knew it was Leo since he was the only one with him but the words just came out of him before he realized.

"What do you mean? I'm Leo..."Leo replied, confused and awkward at the same time.

"But you look so different!"

Leo let out a chuckle.

"Well...I get it. You never seen me with my hair down, always the messy one."Leo's sweet and kind attitude didn't suit his current look at all, he seemed like someone whose attitude was like a bad boy.

"Oh..."Liam said as he instantly looked away, he dared not look at Leo because of what he did. He was staring inappropriately at Leo just now and especially his half-naked body.

"Now that I think about it..."Leo suddenly added."Why can we see so well?"

"You're right!"Liam realized after Leo mentioned it."Shouldn't it be dark here? It's a cave after all...Look!"

Liam saw a wooden torch hanging on the wall not far away from them and pointed it out. Leo stepped forward and walked past Liam, he took the torch and examined it.

"It didn't seem like it had been place here for a long time...It must be just recently, maybe before the rain."Leo turned it around as he observed it, seriously.

Liam nodded but he wasn't actually paying attention to him but to his muscles.

"Liam?"Leo called out and Liam immediately snapped out of it.

He was flushing so brightly as he thought. I did it again!

"You have been acting strange lately ever since we arrived in this cave..."Leo asked and Liam felt his face was burning like lava.

"I...I...It's because of you!"Liam managed to force his voice out.

"Me? What have I ever done to you?"

"Why do you always have to take off your shirt?! There's no one here, you can show off your perfect muscles to."

"You think my build is neat?"Leo asked, happily while Liam once again blushed."Thanks, it's really hard to have these bad boys."

Leo pointed to his abs and Liam hastily looked away and saw another torch. He walked to it, ignoring Leo and held the torch in his hand. Then, he saw another one.

"Weird..."Leo appeared behind him and grabbed the torch Liam was holding."It seems to lead us deeper into the cave...Do you think we should follow?"

Liam looked at Leo with a shocked expression and replied.

"Do you have a death wish?! Who would be in the right mind to follow?! What if we won't be able to come out ever again?!"

"The moment you join me is already full of unknown and we are adventurers, we venture into the unknown, so?"

"I...fine!But you go first!"

Liam ran behind Leo and hid behind his back. Leo chuckled as he led deeper into the dimly lit cave.
