They both went back to the cabin, followed by the rest of the Pack who formed up in ranks around the simple wooden building. Jon brought Siana inside and laid her on the bed. Naerin followed as quickly as he was capable of, pulling the blankets up and tucking them around her.

The boys left, joining the ranks of the pack outside the cabin. They would remain in place until Siana was able to defend herself again, protecting the cabin from all comers. It made Naerin feel better to have someone watch over the cabin while he watched over Siana.

In the days that followed, Siana stabilized. Color came back to her in the second week and her breathing eased in the third. Urien came daily to press healing magic into her wasted body and Naerin watched as her body rebuilt itself. The process was achingly slow, but it was working.
