He smells nice, was the first thought that her idiot brain saw fit to present her with as he cradled her against his chest. She felt her face get hot and quickly pushed away from him. “Sorry,” she hastily brushed her hair behind her ear and cleared her throat. “So, I imagine Urien’s in the living room?”

“Yes,” he looked almost laughably puzzled as she moved away from him. “Both he and Gladys are waiting for you.”

Siana moved down the hall, feeling him following in her wake. She made it to the living room and saw that not only were both the elder fae there, but they were both in their elongated, otherworldly forms. “Hi, so, how weird am I?”

“Pryderin will be here in a week to oversee your training.” Urien said, nodding his head regally at her. “Until then he has asked that you not reach for the circles and that you go nowhere without your protector.”
