But the here and now wasn’t about her. It was about Rosa and Serenity and their union. So Siana would focus on that, focus on how happy they looked and try to forget how much her heart hurt. She wasn’t going to admit how lonely she was and was going to focus outside herself.

The reception was almost magical, Rosa and Serenity had dinner and dancing. Siana purposefully didn’t catch the bouquet and stayed out of the friendly fight that resulted between two of the bridesmaids when they both managed to put their hands on it at the same time. Siana stood off to the side during the dancing, watching the couples swirl and glide to the music of a live band. It was so much like the wedding she’d envisioned for herself that she caught herself tearing up.
