Her nostrils flared and she turned to me.
“If you know what’s best for your friend, I suggest you convince him, otherwise, well, one less witch in the world I suppose.”
Her nasty comment struck a chord but before I even thought to react, she stomped out of the living room and then the front door.
“What’s that all about?”
Before answering me, Cash took a deep sigh.
“Apparently, she knows where Kelly is, and also says the necklace can be used to trap the demon again if we have the right ingredients, along with the witch who summoned it. Unfortunately, she knows where that witch is as well, so she has leverage to make a deal.”
“Deal? What could she want that she can’t buy?”
Michael snickered at my question.
“She wants the big bad wolf daddy.”
He gestured to Cash and Cash snapped at him.
“Hush, city pigeon. You have very little purpose being around here.”
Michael sat forward and I could tell they were about to start with another senseless spat.
