While in the carriage, Luna felt uncomfortable for the Devil's eyes were on her, she squeezed the hem of her clothes so tight that it tore. Damien tried to separate her finger from her dress, but he suddenly stopped and looked away as if being controlled.
Though scared, Luna found his behavior rather strange, he would glance at her, frown, then look away. When she couldn't take it any longer, she frowned at him when their eyes met.
"Can you stop glancing at me?" She asked in a shaky voice, even though she pretended to be courageous, one could easily see how scared she was.
Damien looked away, she bit her lower lips and sighed. He turned again to stare at her… and suddenly…she felt drowsy.
What was happening?
Why was she suddenly feeling sleepy?
She caught sight of Damien staring straight into her eyes, and his eyes had changed. She shook her head violently to stay awake, but it wasn't working.
He definitely did something to her…
"Please… don't hurt me…" these were the words she could mumble as her eyes closed. Damien stared at her, and his gaze suddenly changed. The carriage stopped and he came down from it.
"I would only give you all two seconds to show yourselves," He said in an orotund voice, the bushes were moving, and five mixed vampires came out.
"I see… rebels…" his mouth curved up into a little dangerous smile which could send chills through anyone's spine. His eyes turned cold as his fangs grew sharp and longer…and in the blink of an eye, he had disappeared into thin air.
Suddenly appearing behind the rebels, the clash of swords was sharp and loud as he engaged in a battle with them, and in just a few minutes, he had slaughtered all of them.
He swung his sword in the air and the blood on it flew into the air. He spat on the body and went into the carriage. He turned and stared at Luna, scanning her body to check if there was any harm.
When he saw she was fine, he breathed and they resumed their journey.
~~~
Luna woke with a slight headache, she looked around her in surprise. She was on a bed, and her clothes had been changed, she suddenly gasped when she thought of what Might have happened to her while she had slept off.
She hurriedly came down from the bed and ran to the door, unlike her room at the palace, this was two times bigger and could entertain tens of people.
She tried to open the door, but didn't know how to, she had been trapped in here. She tried knocking on the door, but it was made of stone which had signs and symbols curved on it.
Her eyes widened in surprise, was she about to be killed? Where was she in? She tried so hard to think if she could remember how she had gotten in here, but she failed.
She looked around the room, it was also carved with signs and symbols. What did they mean? Were they spells? Or ancient stories? The stone suddenly moved without making a sound, and four young maidens, half naked, came in.
They didn't look ordinary as their faces were white and their lips… thy looked like corpses which scared Luna. She moved backwards in alert…
The maidens stopped and looked at her, one of them suddenly stepped forward, she looked about nineteen. She smiled at Luna and bowed. The other trio did the same.
"Your highness!" They greeted in unison. Luna swallowed hard and looked at them strangely, she bowed a little.
"He… hello?" The maiden who was at the front raised her head and smiled at Luna.
"I am Althea, these are, Paloma, Skye and Zia, and we are your personal maidens" she said, Luna forced a smile and nodded her head.
"Okay, I'm Luna" she said. Althea nodded at the other maidens, and they all helped Luna to the bathtub where they bathed and clothed. Lunch will be served soon, so please rest as I will personally come to lead you to the dining hall.
"Okay. Thank you," Luna replied and they left. She watched as they left through the same stony door she couldn't open by pushing it. And it was simple, just a push and the door opened, didn't she push the door?
She stood up from the bed and walked over to the stony door, then she pushed it, but it didn't open. She frowned. Didn't Althea push it? It worked! Why wasn't it working for her? Suddenly, an idea popped into her head.
She squeezed her face and closed her eye, then touched the door, her whole body was electrocuted, she was surrounded by darkness and could see a pair of fiery eyes. She quickly opened her eyes and found herself out of the room.
She did it! She had opened the door! She smiled proudly and twirled happily, but it didn't last long, as she noticed something. The hallway was a very long one which was dimly lit.
But that was not all, Luna felt it, something was in there…
The darkness…
Someone was watching her…
Suddenly…
It was moving towards her!
Her soul left her body as she saw it… red fiery eyes and… was it a vampire? But what could a vampire be doing in a demon palace? Weren't vampires and demons enemies?
Sensing danger, Luna started running quick, but where was she going? Why were no guards even here? The darkness was drawing closer….
It was almost meeting up with her, but Suddenly, she couldn't feel it. She turned around to look if it was gone. But she… was face to face with it.
Darkness, covered in hood and smoke, a pair of red eyes was staring at her. No! Death was staring directly at her, and she could do nothing. Her voice had seized, and her legs had disappointed her.
Swoosh!
She found herself back in the bedroom! In front of the door! Wait! What just happened? Was it all a vision?
