Chapter 2 - Game Over, Restart, Begin 2

8.59.59 A.M

The first tremor came...

Back in class

"Yo guys, do you feel something?"

The first tremor was light, but it still went across the entire country. It didn't have an big impact, it was just enough to cause the water in water bottles to sway. Most people wouldn't notice a thing

The second tremor caused the ceiling fans to start swaying about, students immediately rushed over to hide beneath their tables and started shaking in fear.

"That bastard! He was telling the truth!", one student slides over underneath his desk, hugging his bag tightly

"Why didn't he try to warn us harder!", a female student, runs to another class to warn them. ( Well it's alr too late lmao)

"Helppp-p....-." A male student, silently crouching by the corner, pisses his pants while attempting to call his parents.

"Everyone duck! Another tremor is coming!"

The third and last tremor, was enormously loud and caused the entire country to shake to its core.

"AHHHHH!"

Following this, the 30 minute long magnitude 12 earthquake that took the world by storm ensued.

Most, if not every human being on earth went unconscious during the earthquake. Some waking up hours after it while other just aren't so fortunate.

Most building that aren't well supported collapsed, others with relatively well support had sides which were severely damaged, looking like they had been hit with wrecking balls.

8.59.59 A.M, the time that the earthquake would occur.

I grabbed the rod and plunged it straight into the ground. Walked far away from the rod and laid down on the field. There was no roof which could collapse on me so I was relatively safe.

Since the magnitude of the earthquake was so high, there was a high possibility the school building could not withstand the impact of it, unless specifically being built to counter earthquakes, most buildings that would fall apart.

As the earthquake hit, everyone fainted during it.

And when they woke up, they woke up to realise that 70% of the human population has turned into flesh-eating monsters (demans)

12 P.M

As I woke up, all surrounding buildings have already collapsed and the surrounding fires had already died down.

I took my phone out of my pocket. As it turns out, my phone is dead.

"Hmmm, I woke up earlier this time. ", scratching my imaginary beard.

I glanced up at the sky, the sun was directly overhead me. It should be close to noon.

(If your wondering why there is no tsunami. The story is based in Singapore, which is surrounded by a sht ton of countries which shield it from Tsunamis. Unless the epicentre is at/near Singapore lmao)

At the beginning there will be a small grace period that would allow humanity to rebuild itself before the demons start emerging from underground. However, the already noticeable cracks in the earth surface already allow small amounts of the disease particles to travel airborne.

With this, I must quickly prepare.

I got up from the ground and left through a hole in the school wired fence, finding the closest surface crack I could find.

I sat there as I slowly inhaled and exhaled just beside the crack. It was still early, so the concentration of the disease was easy to handle for me.

Those who weren't affected by the disease slowly gained the supernatural abilities. This would later be used to fight the devils and demans. I'd need to slowly assimilate myself with the disease and get used to it.
