Chapter 2

After he was bandaged up like usual his mother also like usual went over to the bed and sat down "come on vali" while vali remained seated as his usual cold look slowly disintegrated and replaced with bright red along his cheeks. smiling at her adorable son she beckoned one more time "come on Vali you know you won't be able to sleep, you need all the energy you can get or else..." with her cheerful voice slowly becoming a murmur. Seeing his mother's saddened look he got up towards her then laying himself on the bed with his head on his mother's lap. Seeing her son concern she smiled slightly while slowing brushing his head as she slowly began telling stories of her life before meeting Rizevan and all the things in the human world that couldn't be found in the demon realm.

With his mother's gentle touch and soothing words just like usual, he slowly fell asleep without and nightmares just like every other day his mother was around to comfort him.

Feeling his steadied breathing she slowly stopped her story but not her stroking as her smile disappeared replaced with an anguished look and tears streaming down her face as she sobbed silently "I'm so sorry Vali if only he hadn't met me and met someone else that wasn't human then you wouldn't have been born with Divine Dividing and he wouldn't be so scared of you, it's my fault that I can't give you a life of happiness but mother will make it right" as she bent down to give him a gentle peck on the forehead. As if feeling his mother's touch a small smile slowly spread across his face.

Very carefully picking him up so that she wouldn't wake him but with her weak body, she struggled to keep her hold stable but luckily he wasn't woken.

Slowly carrying her child while following the route she planned out for countless years eventually managing to leave the mansion she had been living in for over a decade, after a walking a little bit more she soon spotted a fully cloaked figure. hurrying her footsteps she reached the figure with hurried breaths and greeted the mysterious figure "I thank you from the deepest parts of my heart Grayfia-sama, it's all thanks to you that I was able to help Vali escape" while bowing her head.

The mysterious figure slowly took her hood off to reveal a head full long lustrous silver hair and a face that could be an ice-cold beautiful face that could topple kingdoms along with her resplendent silver eyes. Grayfia also bowed her head "no there is no need lady Lucifer and please just call me Grayfia there is no need for honorifics and I'm doing this because it's my duty as a member of the Lucifuge family and besides with the war going on all I can do is help the young master escape as won't be able to provide shelter" as she bowed her head lower in apology.

Vali's mother instead shaking her head "no that is already more than I can hope for without you Vali would be killed sooner or later if he stays with Rizevan but there is one thing I want to ask if you don't mind me asking"

Grayfia lifting her head "yes please go ahead I will answer to the best of my abilities"

"Then Grayfia-san why did you help us? You said you helped us because it the duty of the Lucifuge family so you helped Vali because he is a direct descendant of Lucifer but so is his father and grandfather they are the head and the crown prince of the Lucifer family?"

Shifting her gaze to the now sleeping boy in his mother's arms with pity, Grayfia spoke " I feel pity and sorrow for Vali-sama, a few years ago I had come visiting with my father to meet Rizevim-samma who is also Vali-sama's grandfather and I happened to witness the cruelty of Rizevan-sama and after learning a bit more I reached out to you lady Lucifer-sama"

"Thank you Grayfia-san, I will now leave Vali in your hand s please just make sure he's sent to the human world away from the demon realm"

"You don't have to worry lady Lucifer-sama, but are you sure you don't want to come together when Rizevan-sama finds out that Vali-sama has escaped then he will turn his furry towards you and I'm sure that Vali-sama needs you?"

"No Grayfia-san I just cannot I know the limits of my body I know I won't be able to hold up I would just be a burden on Vali as for Rizevan don't worry I'll be able to manage you don't need to worry" with that she gently passed the sleeping boy to Grayfia then giving her son one more kiss to the forehead "Vali please never come back just live a happy life and forget everything" as she reached into her pocket to pull out an envelope and handing it to Grayfia "please Grayfia-san I think you should hurry before they notice and please give this to Vali"

Taking Vali into her arms she looked at the woman in front of her in respect and sorrow before bowing her head.

Fwoosh!

Bat like wings sprouted behind her as she quickly took off.

Watching them leave Vali's mother could finally feel relieved as she wiped off her tears and slowly walking away towards the Lucifer manor. After managing to reach her room undetected she sighed and walked up to her draw and brought out a thick rope. Bringing a chair with her she brought it outside her room to the yard in front of a beautiful sakura, stepping on the chair to help her tie the rope onto one of the thick branches then turning her head in the direction of where Grayfia had left in one final look before she put her head through the noose she had tied before stepping off the chair.

Thud!
