After dinner, Lina stayed in the living room watching TV while Avril took a phone call.

"I sent the rest of the files to your email check them tomorrow," he said.

"Already did, so don't worry and enjoy your time with her," said Richard.

"Delete the photos you sent my mother," he said.

Richard chuckled, "I can on my phone but not on hers".

"Still do it"

Richard sighed, "Your no fun, so off that topic how is the little troublemaker?"

Avril turned his head back to the house, Lina was staring at the screen attentively.

"Still making trouble".

"And her injury?"

"Am not a doctor Richard, if you care so much then come check her yourself"

He heard Richard laugh, "Why are you so angry now, I guess am....."

They heard a scream and Avril turned back to the living room.

"What happened?" Richard asked but his friend had hung up already.

Lina covered her mouth after discovering she had screamed. She turned to the balcony and saw Avril taking strides back inside, he was next to her in seconds.

"What's wrong?" he asked, he was down on his knees in front of her, and she could his ever-cold eyes stare at her anxiously.

"A..aa..." she blinked, he always made her feel weird being that close to her.

His hand slid to the injury and examined it but it was fine so he returned to her pale face, "Lina, why did you scream" he asked.

She gulped staring back at him, how was she going to tell him?

She had avoided the pain all day, thinking it was maybe a side effect of the medicine she was taking.

"How much is this couch? " she asked on the verge of tears.

"Huh?".

"How much is this?" she repeated touching the seat., Avril blinked looking at it, "I don't know, I just ordered for the best" he said.

Lina burst into tears and Avril froze in surprise, "Why are you crying, now?" he asked.

"I... I won't even ask how much the best is, I can't pay for it" she cried.

"Can you stop crying and tell me what's wrong" he shouted.

Lina shocked by his stern voice fell silent as the tears flowed down her face.

"I stained it," she said avoiding his gaze.

"Where?" he asked looking around not seeing anything.

"Where am seated, she covered her face with her hands," am sorry I forgot all about it and now I have destroyed your couch " she cried.

He sighed getting up, "Show me and we can determine if you destroyed it"

She looked up sniffing," I can't, it's embarrassing, can we call Lilian back"

"No we can't, it's already late and she had things to do that's why she left early in the first place, "he said.

"Oh, then maybe Tony, "she said but he glared instead., Lina felt her world crumbling all she had kept doing was embarrassing herself in front of him.

She could feel his cold eyes on her as he waited patiently for her answer.

"I just got my period and stained your couch, "she said

"Huh?... what?.. " he frowned...." wait are you okay? "he asked getting back down next to her.

Lina nodded," Am fine... but the couch isn't "she cried..." And you don't seem angry about it "

He chuckled," Don't worry about it, I can get it cleaned "he said.

Lina cried even more," Am sorry, I didn't mean to I just forgot about it "

"I said it's okay, please stop your crying, "he said.

Lina nodded but kept crying, Avril sighed and moved closer holding her close. He didn't know why but all he wanted was to hold her until she stopped crying. He felt her body tense up but then relaxed and kept crying.

"Am sorry I just can't stop crying "she cried more

A smile crept to his face as he tapped her back gently," It's okay you can cry "he said.
