Chapter 31 - The Unexpected Call

"Not yet mom, I still don't know their number," Chanel said worriedly.

"Why didn't he didn't even give notice," said her mother Thelma.

"He chose to go there so he hasn't come back yet!" Thelma added.

"But Dimitri can't do that to me!" Chanel said while she was crying,

"Don't cry, let's just wait, you're right, Dimitri can't do that"

"So I'm worried mom, maybe something bad happened to him, maybe he was stranded there," she cried.

And while Chanel was feeling upset, suddenly, the phone ringed. Unexpected call from someone, and the caller was none other than the clerk.

"Hello, who is it?" Chanel asked on the other line.

"Hello, I am Ms. Bardem, a Pentagon agency clerk," 'it said on the other line.

Chanel felt nervous.
