Chapter 44: The Monster

As such their only hope was now the three boys. Pan kept on healing the wounds of the Beastmen warriors, meanwhile Primo arrived with one huge boar.

Since the boar was too huge, Primo had to drag the boar.

Primo put down the boar and with the help of Terzo, they started a small fire. After starting the fire, primo began to roast the food.

The children gathered around, they were salivating looking at the meat in front of them.

"Umm, Primo…"

"What?"

"We don't eat meat…We are herbivores, we eat vegetables and fruits only.."

"What? Why can't you eat meat then? Oi, my father had told me that if you make a pact with an animal, in which your tribe has made a pact with a rabbit that doesn't mean that you can't eat meat ya know. Besides I poured half of my magi to hunt this thing!"

Igyeo continued tending to the women and Primo continued to cook the meat.

"Big brother Can we have some?…"

One of the small children asked.

"Hmm"

Primo cut a small piece of the Boars meat that had been cooked. He gave it to the child who began to munch on it, meanwhile, the other children also asked the same thing.

'One boar isn't enough…'

Pan was doing his best in healing the wounded.

'Primo and Terzo haven't noticed yet…'

In exchange for healing, Pan would receive a small wound on his body. Pan could feel the stinging pain on his stomach but he knew he couldn't stop.

There were numerous wounds on the Beastmen warriors and they were all in a critical state.

It was pure luck that they could survive in a week and two days.

Terzo who was helping the other Beastmen glanced at Pan.

'I knew it….He should stop now…'

Terzo noticed the small wound on Pan's stomach. Terzo walked closer to Pan.

"Don't overuse yourself, the others are still alright you can heal them later…For now, you need to rest and get healed as well.."

Pan looking at Terzo's serious expression nodded his head.

It took only an hour but Pan had successfully healed five warrior Beastmen.

The five who were healed were still asleep. Meanwhile, Primo was cutting the meat into small pieces and feeding it to the exceptionally hungry children.

"So good! Big brother is this what meat tastes like?"

"Yeah, it's so good!'

"Bwahahaha what do you think aren't I amazing?"

The children nodded their heads in unison as Primo felt prideful due to the compliments.

Igyeo also tasted the meat for the first time and he also drowned in pleasure.

"It's so good!"

"Of course, I cooked it myself!"

Terzo leaned closer to Igyeo.

"Although my brother looks like a muscle head, he has exceptional talent in cooking that even our mom would praise him for.."

"Oi I heard that Terzo! You also can't deny that I am born with exceptional talent! Bwahahaha"

Pan smiled seeing the funny interaction, but deep inside Pan could feel the stinging pain in his stomach.

It was the first time he healed many people, and he had only acquired this power two days ago.

Meanwhile, Dux and the others kept on advancing. Bria was also with them to help them so they wouldn't get lost inside the forest.

They have been walking for 6 hours now, and after a few turns and rests they had arrived at the rabbit settlement.

The rabbit settlement was broken, their houses were destroyed and there was even blood sprayed on the ground and home.

"This is…"

"Their village is ruined…"

"They must have not gone too far!"

Bria shouted and Dux, Fortis, and Callidus began to split up to search for any nearby hiding places that the rabbit tribe could hide into.

But after searching for another hour, they decided to rest. It was also nearing nighttime. They needed to rest to replenish their energy so they can continue their search tomorrow.

As night struck, Bria was restless.

"Bria? You should rest as well.."

Callidus felt worried since Bria was restless.

"Oh, of course, I'll rest up in a few more minutes…"

The forest started to shake, numerous birds flew in the sky. The insects stopped their voices due to the large and menacing voice.

"That is…."

In the forest was a giant creature with a disproportional body. It was huge, that Callidus and Bria had to look up. It was the same size as a mountain.

"That's…"

Dux and the others also woke up due to the menacing voice. They all glanced at the huge creature from up above and felt shivers run through their body.

A monster, a huge and terrifying monster.

"That menacing voice…"

Primo, Pan, and Terzo had also heard the voice. Igyeo shivered and the rest of the children covered themselves due to fright.

"I know that voice…."

Primo smiled, he could pinpoint the exact location of the voice. Primo knew that the others might be there already.

"Primo!"

"What?"

"We need to evacuate everyone first! And we need your help!"

Primo glanced at Pan and nodded his head. Although he wanted to fight the monster just like the others, first he needed to evacuate the rabbit Beastmen and children.

"Father wake up!"

Igyeo's father who slowly rose from his sleep glanced at his son who was sobbing and hugging him. Ali glanced at his entire body, his wounds have been healed.

Ali cast a glance at three small children with a wolf's ear and tail.

"This is…"

"Father we have no more time!"

Pan had finished healing all the warrior Beastmen, and they started waking the other Beastmen up.

"Igyeo who-"

"Grahhhhhhhhhhh!!"

Ali stood ups hearing the menacing voice. Without any second thought, Ali held one of the female beastwomen in her embrace.

"Everyone wake up! We need to evacuate now!"

The other warriors slowly woke up hearing Ali's voice. They were also conflicted seeing their wounds gone and the three wolf children.

"We have no more time, hurry and lift the female beastwomen and children, we have to evacuate now!"

The warriors without any second thoughts started to lift the female and the children on their backs.

"Tell me where will we go?"

Pan, Terzo, and Primo looked at Ali.

"We don't have any more time to explain and introduce ourselves but please know that we are here to help you. Follow us and we will immediately bring you to our village."

Ali nodded his head.

Suddenly five figures rose from the forest. The five figures had disproportionate bodies.

"They are…"

"We will hold them off! Pan evacuate everyone now!"

Terzo and Primo assumed a fighting stance.

"Hurry pan leave with everyone now!"

"Grahhhhhhhhhhh!!"

Pan hearing the urgent task nodded his head, and the rabbit Beastmen began to follow him as they rushed through the forest.

"Run away if you have a chance!"

Primo scoffed.

"Run? No way in hell."

Primo's hand started to radiate the red aura.

"Come on and fight me you weak ass.."

Terzo felt shivers to see the five figures. This was his first fight, not only that he doesn't know how to fight at all, the only thing he knows is how to cast a simple magic.

"What's wrong? Don't tell me your afraid Terzo?"

Terzo smiled in response.

'I can't fight like Primo, but I can provide support. My only magi is controlling the air to become a shield.'

"Primo! I'll be the support! I can create an air shield that can protect your blind spots!"

"What the hell? You decided to follow me but you can't even fight…Bah well, that's alright.."

Primo and Terzo were being cornered, the five monsters had surrounded them both.

Suddenly one of the monsters stretched its hand with great speed.

But Primo evaded the attack with ease. The monsters had started to attack.

The first monster had no face only huge eyes with a skinny body and spiky hands. Primo covered his hand with an aura.

The problem with the first monster was its fast hands, not only that Primo was also protecting Terzo.

If Primo moves freely, then one of the monsters may take it as a chance to attack Terzo.

"Damnit! You can't cast any attack magic?"

Terzo stretched his hands and the protective barrier on Primo disappeared instead it covered him. Terzo still had trouble making a sphere on his hands. It would drain all his magi, and he needs full concentration just to cast one.

Primo held the hilt of his axe, the axe was then suddenly covered in red aura.

"Let's fight extras!"
