Chapter 1
It was after midnight and I knew I missed curfew but the party was just so much fun and I didn't want it to end. So I did what Alison does best and test the limits with the rules. As Becca and her boyfriend Jimmy started shouting at me over the music that it was time to go or I would be grounded until the end of the year I laughed and waved them away. We had gone to Lucas birthday party he has every year before school ends but this time it was bigger and better than all the years before because we are graduating tomorrow. I have been dating Lucas all year and let me tell you he's absolutely gorgeous, tall, brown hair with green hazel eyes. And of course he is the captain of the football team. He's been trying to get me to sleep with him the last few months and I keep avoiding the topic. Not that I don't want too but I'm just down right chicken... I'm a virgin. I've had a crush on Lucas since freshman year and I've had a few boyfriends before but honestly It's never felt right to loose my virginity to anyone yet.
As the music blared out the speakers and I took another shot of rum I worked up the nerve to go find Lucas. Tonight was the night I was finally going to give in, I was going to surprise him for sure, up until tonight I've told him it's just not the right time. I don't know if it was all the alcohol I've consumed or the fact we were graduating tomorrow and I didn't want to be the only one going to college without experience but it was going to happen. As I went upstairs to look for Lucas i heard some sounds coming from his room. At first I pressed my ear to the door and I heard soft giggles from the other side. It was definitely some girl in there, then I heard him. It was definitely my Lucas, " oh come on baby you know you like it when I kiss down your neck, it's my birthday can I get a little more action tonight" Lucas said with a husky tone in his voice
At that very moment my whole world just came crashing down. Unable to process what I just heard I threw open the door and saw the horror scene for myself. There was my Lucas kissing some blonde girl with her shirt off. He had his hands rubbing all over her body while she moaned in ecstasy. My eyes flew shut and my hand went up to cover my mouth to stifle out my cry. A tear fell down my cheek as I opened my eyes again. As I was filled with several emotions from shock to heartbreak to down right smoldering anger, I felt a strange sensation Come over my body. My skin felt on fire and my body began to tremble at that moment the lights started to flicker and the room went dark. I felt a rumble beneath my feet and at that moment Lucas looked up and locked eyes with me.
Lucas had a huge smirk blasted on his face when he saw me staring at them, but the more smug he looked made me angrier and the house started to shake. The skank he was with started to scream and they both threw their hands over their heads attempting to protect themselves from the books falling from the shelf above them on the bed.
I turned on my heels and ran out of the room as fast as my feet would take me. When I reached the bottom of the staircase I lost my footing and fell into Becca's twin brother Leo.
"Wow Ali slow it down you're going to hurt yourself" Leo said with a concerned look.
"Sorry Leo I just need to find Becca and get out of here fast" I breathlessly said
"What not going to stay around to sing happy birthday to the birthday boy?" chuckled Leo
I huffed and gave Leo a look to kill " that asshole isn't worth celebrating!"
Leo's blue eyes softened at my outburst and he ran his hand through his golden hair." I'm not sure what happened but if you need to get out of here I've got my bike."
I sighed while I looked up the staircase one last time, then I hesitantly shook my head yes as I accepted Leo's offer.
As we began to leave I could hear Lucas frantically running down the stairs. "Ali wait don't leave!"Lucas said acting like nothing had happened.
He went to grab my arm to pull me back through the front door. At the very moment I heard a loud crunch sound and saw Lucas holding his bloody nose. Leo had punched him square in the face. I let out a big chuckle and turned and locked arms with Leo as we exited the house.
"Oh Leo that was fantastic, thank you so much for being here for me, you're the best!" I squealed In excitement.
"Not a problem at all I'm here at your service may lady." beamed Leo.
Again I laughed and playfully swatted at Leo's arm. Leo walked me over to his motorcycle and handed me his spare helmet. At that moment I quickly texted Becca that I was getting a ride home with Leo and not to worry I'll explain things later.
