They arrived at the shopping centre and Ryu parked the car in the parking lot. The siblings hopped out and walked towards the entrance attracting the gaze of many. Who could blame them though? People were bound to stare if you good-looking and 190 cm tall except for Yui though.
She was pretty but didn't attract as much attention as the titans surrounding her. Niko raised an eyebrow at a group of boys gazing at her as if asking, 'what are you looking at?' They quickly averted their eyes and ran off somewhere.
"Since we're here, we might as do a bit of shopping ourselves," Ryu said as the walked into the main area. There were many different shops lined up on either side and some were upstairs.
Ryu led the group into the first store...a clothing one. Atsushi was already getting grouchy from boredom so Yui handed him a pack of pocky to munch on. He really was like a toddler sometimes.
Yui was dragged away by Niko who shoved a bunch of cute clothes in her arms and forced her to try them on ignoring Yui's weak protests.
Inside the changing room, Yui zipped up the back of a dress and stepped out.
"Sugoi Yui, you're so cute," Niko said when she saw her little sister come out. The two brothers silently agreed and glared at a teenage boy who had his eyes locked onto their cute imouto. The boy flinched when he saw two deadly eyes narrowed at him and quickly made himself scarce.
"Try on the other ones. I'll buy the ones you like,"
"Eh? No you don't have to - " Yui refused but was interupted.
"I want to buy you clothes. I'm your nee-chan and it is the duty of a nee-chan to spoil their younger siblings," Niko said with a grin.
"You never spoil -"
"YOU get spoiled enough by mom and dad," Niko glared at Atsushi who pouted. Ryu just rolled his eyes.
The next hour was spent in the same shop and Yui felt half dead by the time she tried on the last piece of clothing. She ended picking 4 outfits and Niko happily paid for it.
They left the store and headed in the next direction. All of a sudden, Yui spotted something, or rather someone standing outside the foodcourt. Without averting her eyes she motioned for the others to stop and look. They turned and gasped.
Standing there in all his slick back hair glory was none other than their own sibling Sora. Niko burst out laughing at his 'cool' outfit which consisted of dark leather jeans, a white v-neck tee and a black jacket giving off that 'bad boy' vibe. Ryu laughed as well and Atsushi snorted while Yui began giggling uncontrollably.
They all knew that Sora never ever dressed like that so seeing him trying to pull off such a look made them amused.
"What the heck is he doing here? I thought he had a school project," Niko said as she calmed down.
"Looks like he's got a date," Yui said. Suddenly, Ryu's eyes lit up and he dragged the group into a store filled with costumes and make-up.
"What are you doing?"
Ryu smirked mischievously, "I have an idea"
"Oh no,"
Ryu glared at Niko who shrugged. "Well what is it?"
"See those costumes there," he pointed into the store. Yui widened her eyes, "You're not suggesting -"
"Yep. Let's go spy on our dearest brother and his date,"
Everyone wanted to deny at first but thought it might be fun.
"He is going to be so mad when he finds us out," Niko muttered picking out a mask.
"That's IF he finds out. That's why we have costumes, duh," Ryu said. Yui wondered if Ryu really was the second oldest in the family.
Atsushi didn't really care as long as he could snack. The group picked out their disguises and set off on their mission.
First objective; get eyes on the target. The group had to look around again for Sora who had disappeared when they went into the store. Atsushi spotted him walking with a pretty girl into an ice-cream shop. They quickly followed after keeping a good distance from the pair.
Yui tried not to blush in embarrassment when people stared their way. They looked really ridiculous at this point. Three giants wearing weird hats and sunglasses and a midget wearing a mask. Honestly, how the heck did they think wearing such disguises would make them less noticeable. They attracted way more attention and suspicious gazes.
Sora and his date walked out of the shop a few moments later each holding an ice-cream cone and went outside to sit on a bench.
The four siblings followed closely behind and darted into stores or behind trash cans when Sora turned around.
Yui felt a vibration in her pocket and flipped open her phone. She smiled and quickly messaged the sender back before following after Niko. The group continued their little adventure, even going into the cinema where the pair on a date headed. They made a pit-stop at to buy a couple of snacks though.
Unfortunately, Niko bought tickets to the wrong movie and the group had to sit through a 2hr horror movie when the movie they were supposed to go to was your regular action film. Yui and surprisingly Atsushi both hated horror movies and ended up clutching on to their elder siblings clothes the whole movie.
When they came out, Yui and Atsushi were pale as ghosts. Ryu glanced at the time.
"It seems we went a bit over time. Let's get Yui's laptop and head home,"
After recovering with an ice-cream cone, Yui went with Ryu to purchase a laptop. She chose one that wasn't too fancy or too simple. It was within her budget and had decent specs so she paid for it without hesitation.
"You shouldn't carry hard cash like that Yui. Next time I'll pay for it with my credit card and you can pay me back later," Ryu told the girl after she fished out the exact amount of money owed from her purse. She apologised and promised not to do that again. Yui knew it wasn't a good idea to carry that much money on hand but today was just an exception.
When they left the store, they paused and saw a very irritated Sora glaring at Niko and Atsushi.
"Uh oh," Ryu muttered as he made his way closer.
Sora turned his glare to him as well, "I hope you had fun spying on my date,"
Ryu looked sheepish and apologised, "Hehe sorry, we didn't think you'd notice."
"Actually, he noticed from when he went to the ice-cream store," Yui piped up. They looked towards her.
"Wait you knew?"
"Yeah...I accidentally made eye-contact with Sora-nii and he texted me asking what we were doing. I told him the truth since he would've figured it out anyway,"
"Ehhh why didn't you say anything?"
"You guys looked like you were having fun and I didn't think his date noticed us so I didn't see any harm done,"
Niko pinched Yui's cheeks making them red, "Awww, my little sister is so thoughtful. You're not wrong though, I was kind of enjoying our mission." Ryu agreed with her and patted Yui on the head.
Before they could speak some more, someone tapped Ryu on the shoulder and he turned around to face three men dressed as security guards.
"Excuse me but we've received multiple reports of 4 persons in strange outfits acting suspicious around the shopping centre. We were told they were very tall and had purple, black and brown hair,"
.
.
It was silent for a while when the five siblings looked at each other before breaking into a sprint.
"O-OI, GET BACK HERE!!!"
Sora carried Yui who wasn't as fast and they ran towards the parking lot while the guards chased after them yelling to stop. People jumped to the side and backed away as the group of titans bolted through.
"YOU BAKA, I TOLD YOU THIS WAS A BAD IDEA!!" Niko yelled at Ryu. Their disguises were long gone; dumped somewhere, and their faces were on full display. Luckily the guards only saw them when they were wearing masks.
"SHUT UP!" Ryu shouted back. The five finally reached the car and they flew inside before Ryu pressed on the accelerator and drove off.
'I should've known something like this would happen.' Yui thought trying to adjust her uncomfortable position.
She wonders why such things seem to only happen to her.
I honestly have no idea what's going on at this point. I kinda just type whatever comes to mind and I have no plan. Therefore, even I as the author have no clue what to expect in the later chapters.
