What you see isn't everything

It was a normal sunny afternoon, Ziqi and her boyfriend Mark went to the beach holding hands. It was a blissful moment. Ziqi was so glad she had a doteful boyfriend. He was caring, handsome, full of love. Mark held her hand and proposed to her. She was so happy to be engaged to Mark. They are going to be married soon and will raise a child together.

"Wake up! Wake up! Ziqi! The professor is here!" Ziqi woke up sleepily and yawned.

"Sorry, I didn't sleep a wink last night. Something good happened. I'll tell you after class." Ziqi told on of her bestfriends, Lia.

Lia was eager to know and she nodded excitedly. After the class ended, Lia was walking beside Ziqi while they head back to the dorm. Ziqi and Lia sat on the bed together laughing.

"Ziqi, what happened last night? Did Mark come?" Lia was too eager.

"No. He had exams to study for. Lia... I am pregnant with Mark's child. I did a test last night." Lia was speechless and shocked.

"I didn't know you were with his child yet you worked so hard everyday on your studies! I'm so happy for you! Did you tell Mark?" Ziqi shook her head. "I didn't want to bother him since he was so busy. I will tell him when I see him tomorrow."

After Lia and Ziqi went to the hospital. The doctor told Ziqi that the baby is very healthy. Lia and Ziqi were so happy. They told Rachel and Diana about it and they were happy as well. Rachel and Diana are Ziqi's close friend from high school.

When evening came, Ziqi tried to call her parents but no one picked up. After trying several times, she gave up. She yawned and fell asleep in bed while Lia stayed on her laptop to finish her work.

Six in the morning, someone called her and Ziqi quietly went outside. Someone told her Mark was waiting for her. Ziqi waited for Mark patiently but he was nowhere to be seen. She called Mark several times but no one picked it up. She thought it was strange and decided to head back to her dorm.

When Ziqi was heading back to the dorm, she suddenly passed out. She felt she was being dragged but she had no idea why. She felt cold. When she slowly opened her eyes, she was in woods. She was stabbed multiple times and blood was flowing out. Ziqi did not have the energy to yell and she passed out once again.
