22.1 Sharing

Yomo stuffed a mouthful of spaghetti into his mouth. He was in the college cafeteria with Jin and Nils. Classes had resumed and the three students had returned to their daily lives after a hectic holiday. Chewing mechanically, Yomo was lost in thought. He was staring straight ahead. The return to class had more or less depressed him. He would have liked to take advantage of his free time to spend it with Rau, but he didn't have that much. And that depressed him.

Replaying his negative thoughts, he twisted the pasta around his fork and pouted, uninterested in eating it. Seeing his friend's mood, Jin touched his arm with his hand to get his attention.

"What's wrong with you? You've been depressed since school started," he remarked.

Yomo sat up straight, avoiding his gaze. He was uncomfortable talking about his mood and what was causing it. It was too embarrassing.

"Eeeeeh, someone's already pining for their sweetheart," Nils teased him.
