Chapter 20 Fascinated by You

Emma’s POV

Jane didn't expect me, who she had bullied, to fight back. She cursed angrily, "You shameless woman! You don't even look in the mirror to see what you look like. You are a disaster. How can you be worthy of my brother? How dare you refuse to accept rejection?"

"Do you think procrastinating is useful? Thea is pregnant. It's certain that she will marry my brother. It's not up to you."

I replied, "Whether or not I accept the rejection is not up to you."

"It doesn't matter if she's pregnant. As long as your brother and I don't finish the rejection for a day, I'll be your sister-in-law, she'll be the mistress, and the child in her belly will be a bastard."

Thea was hurt by my words and couldn't vent her anger, so she said, "Miss Green, if you want to beat or scold someone, come at me. Don't insult my child!"

"How did I insult your child? I'm just stating the fact. Everyone knows that the child born to a mistress is a bastard."
