Six years later, at Dixon City Airport.
A woman with a white shirt and short jeans, showing a pair of long legs took off her sunglasses. Looking at this familiar and unfamiliar land, she smiled beautifully. "I'm back."
"Mommy, are we going to Grandma's house?" The little girl in a pink princess dress with twin ponytails asked playfully.
Walking in front was a little boy with large sunglasses that covered almost half of his face. He corrected. "Grandma is not our real grandma. Mommy is coming back this time for a courtesy visit, so it's fine for Mommy to go alone."
"Why isn't Mommy's Mommy her biological one?" Brittany Hughes held the butterfly around her waist upright, just like a little princess.
Chuck Hughes replied, "Because Mommy's real mommy is not alive."
The little child spoke childishly, "Did Mommy's Mommy go to work with Jesus as Daddy did?"
Jenny reached out and rubbed her daughter's little head. "Yes, that's right."
"Mommy, Jesus is so bad, hogging my daddy and my real grandma..."
Chuck's eyes under his sunglasses glanced at Mommy. He didn't want to listen to Mommy's story. He suddenly ran away. "Mommy, I'm going to the toilet."
Jenny looked at Chuck who left quickly, instructed. Then she took her daughter's hand and waited in place, responding to her daughter's various odd questions.
Chuck slowed down his pace a few meters from the toilet. Like he was tired of running, he slowly walked in and washed his hands on tiptoe at the sink. A short while later, an alluring woman came out of the women's toilet.
Chuck turned around and accidentally bumped into the woman and stepped on her foot. He hurriedly apologized. "Sorry, sorry."
The woman was instantly angry, "Where are you from, bastard? How dare you bump into me?"
Chuck smiled wryly and looked up, "Hey, are you the star Nicole?"
Nicole was furious. "Bastard, you know who I am and why don't you stay away from me?"
Chuck opened his mouth wide, looking frightened. "Mommy taught me to respect the old and the young, and I respect you. But you're mean."
"What did you say?" When Chuck had just lunged, both of his hands happened to be on her legs. Now she felt a burning pain. She snarled, "Get down on your knees and apologize, or I'll feed you to the wild dogs!"
"Murder is against the law." Chuck kindly reminded her.
Nicole pushed him, and Chuck moved quickly to avoid her. "You're not pretty when you look like that."
The woman was already very angry and cursed like a shrew, "Bastard, I hope you get killed out there later."
Chuck ran into the men's toilet and stuck his tongue out. "I'm good, and God won't take me."
Nicole was furious, but couldn't get into the men's bathroom. A fan happened to recognize her, and she immediately laughed, defending her image and twisting her slender waist to leave.
"Star, can I have your autograph?"
Jenny looked over in the direction of the voice and saw her enemy. She would not forget that this so-called star had caused them to wander in a foreign country.
She thought, "Since when did an unknown internet celebrity become a star? What a good match for a bitch and a scum? Do they have kids?"
Chuck ran back to see Jenny brooding. "Mommy, what are you looking at?"
Jenny smiled faintly. "Nothing, I saw an enemy, so you should usually wear a mask and sunglasses, so you can't be seen by the enemy, okay?"
Chuck nodded good-naturedly. "Got it."
Brittany blinked her dumbfounded eyes and asked, "Mommy is so kind, so how could there be an enemy? Who is the enemy?"
Jenny said seriously, "It's a demon that appears at random times of the day and night."
Chuck didn't believe it. He didn't want to hear this kind of story from his mommy, which was designed to fool children.
Brittany opened her mouth wide. "It's scary. Can Mommy and Chuck beat that demon?"
"No. The devil is so powerful that he can pick up a woman and a child and throw them into the mountains to feed the wolves." Jenny said. She had two kids with her and couldn't fight Frederick and Nicole, so she wasn't lying.
Chuck smiled and said innocently, "Don't worry, Mommy, I'll help you get revenge."
Jenny stroked her son's head with relief. The child's words could warm her heart. She looked up again and rolled her eyes at the star. She could never have imagined that she would meet his mistress on her first day back home.
"Let's go, babies."
Brittany took her mommy's hand and bounced along with her, saying, "Mommy, is Daddy in Dixon City?"
"Yes."
"When can we see Daddy?"
"We'll take you to the grave in a few days."
...
Jenny no longer had a home in the city. On their first day back home, they checked into a hotel.
After dinner, Chuck offered to take a cab tour of Jenny's hometown. It was an unfamiliar landscape for the two kids, who were new to the area.
The night breeze was gentle and the moon was clear. They wanted to blend in with the brightly lit city.
Chuck tried his best to apply for not wearing sunglasses at night. "Mommy the world is the most beautiful. Mommy is the warmest on earth. Mommy smiles better than flowers..." He said a lot of words praising Jenny before he got Jenny's approval.
The car stopped at the entrance of a park. They walked through the land and Brittany was most joyful, pointing to the buildings in the distance and saying. "This is different from Manda's. Dixon City is also beautiful, and I want to stay."
Jenny, feeling the changes in the city, said to her daughter, "We shouldn't be leaving anytime soon."
Brittany was overjoyed. "I love to visit different cities."
Chuck explained, "Mommy is meant to see Grandma who is staying by Jesus whenever she can, and Mommy is the kindest."
Brittany immersed herself in her world. "Does Dixon City have pretty dresses and pink sandals..."
They chatted as they walked down the road, very pleasantly.
A Rolls-Royce slowed down on the road, with a red light ahead. The noble man in the back seat kept his eyes closed, as if an invisible hand had ruffled his eyelids and wrenched his head sideways. Through the ink-colored glass, he saw at a glance the large and two small.
He saw the familiar back. As the car moved forward, he saw the side of the woman's face and the side of the children's faces...
Suddenly the boy at the front of the line turned around. He was walking backward with his arms wrapped around his chest, talking to two other people about something. The boy had the same face, expression, and movement as he did...
Just a few seconds later, the car pulled away abruptly and sped through the green light. He rubbed his brow, thinking his eyes were blurry.
When she left, she must have been a million times sad, so she didn't even say goodbye or take his possessions and left without a word. In fact, this was the best outcome, wasn't it?
That cool face like his must be an illusion. She wouldn't get pregnant. He had bought the pill himself and watched her take it back then. He wouldn't allow her to get pregnant and have children.
"Mr. Barnes, something's happened to Miss Jenkins." The man in the passenger seat suddenly said.
