Chapter 16 Let Jenny Choose

The hard work of life had already turned Jenny's heart into ice. Love was no longer necessary to her. She picked up the glass and clinked her glass against Jerome's. "Mr. Simmons, before I applied for the job, I didn't know that you were the boss of Beryl Jewelers. I am here to work. I hope that our relationship is limited to work."

Jerome stroked his chest and said, "Beryl Jewelers. Jenny, don't you think the word 'Beryl' is familiar?"

"Mr. Simmons, if I disturb your peaceful life and normal work, I can resign. It's time for me to go home. Bye."

Jenny picked up her bag and was about to leave, but Jerome grabbed her arm hurriedly and let her go under her nail-like gaze. He said bitterly, "Let me drive you home. I didn't mean anything else. I just want to drive you home."
