'Do I like her?'

I laugh because of that thought. Scarlet is like my little sister that I'm willing to protect from everyone, not a woman that I would marry someday.

"I don't like her bud..." I said and lean on the stairs' railings, "but I know how you play with girls. Do not play with her she's vulnerable and besides, she does not believe in that kind of love. I don't think you can get her." I continue to walk leaving him speechless for the information he gets.

"Are you serious bud?" he asked, I shrugged my shoulder to answer him. I put down the luggage before opening the door where Scarlet is. I put down her luggage and went out of the room, she was still sleeping.

I sighed when I saw Louis staring at me with an answer-me-look, "Bud do I look like I'm joking to you?" I ignored him and go to the room next to where Scarlet sleeps.

He followed me and sit in the bed while looking at me. I close my eyes hardly then gaze at him, "What? Stop staring like that as if I do something wrong."

I heard his loud sigh and lay on the bed, "How do you say that she does not believe in love?" he whisper.

I throw a pack of strawberries at him, "I'm not in the place to tell why," I throw him a gaze then I raised my eyebrow when I saw him eating the strawberry, "why are you eating that without washing them?"

He just laugh at me saying, "Come on man I know you already wash this before packing it like this."

"Tss, you could have washed it again before eating those," I said and walk to the bathroom with my clothes.

"I'm not like you, bud who wants to wash fruits two times!" he shouted.

I rolled my eyes and sigh when I heard the door open and close. I clean myself before heading to Scar's room, I need to make sure that she knows that we're in my friend's house.

I tried to call my parents but it says the line cannot be reached... maybe because of the typhoon that currently striking us. Once I check that she is still asleep I walk downstairs to the kitchen. I saw Louis preparing two cups of tea.

"So gentleman huh?" I jokingly said.

"I am a gentleman bud unlike you... so cold to other people." He gave me the other cup and sit in front of me. "It's been a long time, where have you been these few years huh?"

"I'm in America, fixing my business there." I sipped my tea and gazed out the window, the rain still pours heavily. I hope my parents are in good condition right now.

"Don't you want to have a branch here?" he asked.

"I'm planning too but for now I'll focus on expanding it in Europe," I answered, "I still have my team to manage after all," I added.

"How about you?" I look at him and take my last sip of tea.

He smiled at me widely, "Well I'll have my other three-story building restaurant in America, my father wants me to manage our business now but I said he could give it to my big brother because I want to prove to myself that I can build one on my own." He said in the litany.

Louis is a son of a business tycoon, no wonder why his father wants him also to manage their business aside from his older brother, Callix.

Louis is my friend from college luckily until now. "Can I ask?" I look at him and nodded.

"When and how did you meet that girl named—"

"Scarlet," I continued.

"Yeah, Scarlet."

"I met her many years ago at the seaside. " I went to the sink and wash my teacup before returning it to its place. "I was heartbroken that time when I meet her."

"You're so lucky to have her as a friend, I hope we can get along too... you know I want to have a little sister but mom and dad can't have another one." I chuckled because of what he said. Geez, this man has the guts to tell those words to me as if he didn't ask my permission to court Scar.

"I thought you wanna court her and now a little sister?" I teasingly say.

He laughs at me, "I just want to know earlier if she's your girl or something but honestly I can see her as my younger sister, not a lover." He explained, "besides you said that she does not believe in "love", " he added.

I smirked at him, "Yeah whatever you say... I'll go upstairs already... I'm sleepy."

"Okay then just call me later in the master bedroom if you want something." I nodded and walked upstairs.

Louis has an older brother they want to have a younger sister yet their mother cannot be pregnant again because of a certain reason that I don't know. I just hope that they can be friends, I know that Louis will be a good friend at Scar.

I was about to sleep when I get text messages from my parents saying they were safe and asking where are we already. I text them back informing them that we are at Louis's house.

I close my eyes and about to fell asleep when my phone rang and saw the caller Id. I quickly decline it and walk towards the Scarlet room. There I saw her sitting on the bed and staring out the window.

She gazed at me when she heard the door close, "Good afternoon Scar, we are in my friends' house since there's a typhoon striking." She nodded at me and yawn.

"Are you busy?" she asked.

I shake my head and answer, "I'm supposedly sleeping but I receive your call."

"Is that so? You can sleep already. I'll just go downstairs," she said. I nodded and headed back to my room.

I'm not worried about her meeting up with Louise later when she went downstairs so I can sleep peacefully. I sighed before everything went black.
