Chapter Four: CURIOSITY

Gusion's POV

Hi. I'm Gusion Paxley, the Fourth son of Patriarch's Family. Like what they used to say, I am the black sheep of the family since I don't believe on their perceptions that the path to being magician is the most sacred vocation we should take and never use sword to battles.

For me, an individual should not settle in what he can do only. He must do something to make himself exceed in any field.

Sadly, my family couldn't see that. They even made me chose between them and my beliefs.

I still wanted to strengthen my powers so here I am now, obviously didn't chose the prestige of being a member of famous family. I don't have any concrete plans yet on what and where will I go. All I know, I wanted to show to them the true extent of my power.

I was passing through an old small ramen house when I heard the three men gossips about something.

"They're very powerful."

"Terrifying."

"I heard, they were from the huge and powerful land."

"I heard they were devil personified."

I got curious so I sat next to their table and intently watched and listened to them.

"So the news are true all along?" asked the old man.

"Yes. My brother did not believe at first as well, but when he went there last night, he witnessed that those were really existing. The incredible genius magician and the shadow mysterious black sniper were true!" told the fat guy. He even lean closer to other two men and whisper. "And I heard, that the shadow mysterious sniper is a girl."

I really got interested. I stood up. Casually walked and stopped exactly in front of them. "Where will I find the persons you were all referring?"

They raised their eyes on me shockingly. Not expecting someone was listening to them. "You can't go there alone, young man." said the fat guy. "It's too dangerous."

I sighed sharply. Who is this man to dictate what should I do? I can not allow neither those strangers to send fear here, in the Land of the Dawn. "Just answer me." My eyes glinted with formality.

"Well.. In the middle of the forest."

I never utter 'thank you'. I just fix my collar and walked away.
