CHAPTER 6 DMSA-kidney test

When we arrived at Western diagnostic nuclear center it was exactly 8:31 am.The nurse from Kenyatta national hospital walked majestically Infront of us,She pushed the hospital door open and in the room there was two nurses sitting on a table with laptops. They seemed to be keying in some information in the laptop.The room had a big verandah with comfortable sites and small tables.On top of the table they were magazines and brochures.The nurse from Kenyatta national hospital told us to have our sites as she proceeded to where the nurses were sitting.

"Good morning "She greeted the nurses.

"Morning" they answered as they shook hands."I came with a patient", she said,while handing out the files she had carried from Kenyatta.

One of the nurse took the file and opened it so that she to read.As they were reading,a smart young nurse dressed up in Navy blue dress approached us.She was smiling brightly as if we were familiar to her.Her dress was well fitting and mini, with flat black shoes.She told us to follow her in the next room.

Western diagnostic nuclear center was clean,that you would feel freshness, the floor and walls had white tiles,doors sky blue, curtains on the window white and printed the words western diagnostic nuclear center with sky blue color.Almost everything was white and sky blue.It made me see life and felt as if Robert was healed.

The nurse told us,she would like to put cannula on Robert's hand,she was explaining to us as she prepare injection.She took the needle, swabs container, gloves and moved nearby.As if soothing Robert she asked him his name.Robert in fear answer in low tone because he had already seen the needle."Robert I want you to be well so that you can go to school" she told Robert smiling.She talked to him while rubbing his hand with a cotton disinfectant.She found a vein and injected him to position the cannula.
