The Flashback

After the argument I dragged myself to my room and Kaylee and Nikki followed me, "I know you're worried and you think that hiding would be best for you and the kids..." Kaylee started. "But you also have to live and so do they." Nikki added, I looked at them both, "I'm afraid of losing my siblings, after mom and dad died I had to fight to keep them safe, I don't want that sacrifice to be for nothing." I told them, as I lay on the bed facing the ceiling trying to hold back tears. "You will not lose them, that's why we are here." Nikki reassured me, "You need to start letting go, let us help take some of that responsibility." Nikki finished as she lay on the bed next to me. I knew she was right, I was so accustomed to carrying all the responsibility by myself that I was unsure of how to let go and pull back, "We'll leave and let you get some rest." Kaylee spoke up. "In the morning things will be better." she added as both she and Nikki headed to the door to leave, as they closed the door I closed my eyes, still laying on the bed thinking of how thing got to be like this.

FLASHBACK

Mom gave birth to Dan when the twins were three years old, she kept saying that she wasn't having anymore after the twins, but here was a little boy being add to our family. I looked at him and thought what a happy life he would have, soon I realized how wrong I was, the next day I was excited to show off pictures of my new baby brother to Tyler and Kaylee at school. I ran in through the school's main doors and headed straight to the football field, passing the lockers without a pause. "Kaylee!, Tyler!" I yelled excitedly and Kaylee waved at me. I continued towards her and Tyler, as I neared the bleachers where they were sitting, an object appeared out of the corner of my eye, it was hurtling towards my head and then stopped. I turned and there was a football hovering in mid air as Kaylee, Tyler and Stephen were running toward me, I plucked the ball out of the air as Kalen Jones, Ace Clarke and Ryder Williams was standing further away laughing. Stephen got to me first "Sorry, the guys are just being stupid as usual." he mumbled, I looked at him "Don't apologize for them, Kalen just wants me to kick his ass as usual." I shouted loud enough for him to hear. "What was that?" Ace replied crossing the field towards us.

I was a fighter as a kid, I didn't care much for being lady like if you crossed me or my friends well we will be fighting. I turned to properly face Ace and the other boys as they jogged towards us, Kaylee and Tyler standing behind me as the others approached. "Care to repeat that Remi." I looked him straight in the eyes, "Yes Ace, I am going to kick Kalen's ass because he is stupid.", Ace began to laugh and Kalen lunged forward to grab my arm and Tyler was on him in the blink of an eye. None of us got along well but we knew each other as we grew up together, Ace, Kalen and Ryder's parents were also part of the Vampire Council and being part of the Council meant that Council member's kids were married off between each other. I was therefore promised to Ace, but his cocky attitude always made me dislike and distrust him, he however hated Tyler as Tyler and I spent all our time together. When I turned fifteen, home life became different , mom and dad began to become estranged towards us and we began bouncing between Kaylee's house and Nikki's house.

We even stayed at Tyler's pack for a while but we were removed when Tyler's mom caught Tyler and I making out, she caught us before thing got too serious. The problem wasn't on Tyler's end it was mine, while Vampire Council member's kids are joined between other council member's kids only, werewolves are allowed to pick their mates but Tyler's dad was not part of the Werewolf Council. Tyler's dad was head of Security for the Wolf Council and best friends with my parents, but all of that did not put him on the status level high enough for his son to be seen cavorting with a Council member daughter. Especially one who was already promised to the Vampire Council's head son. The other problem came when the Wolf Council's Second in Command began doing favours for and holding private talks with the Tribunal for the chance of me joining his pack through marriage of his son Hades Anderson. Hades was egotistical and arrogant and he saw people as possessions, his dad saw a marriage to me as a chance to progenate a stronger breed of hybrids like Stephen and Simone.

Stephen and Simone's parents powers were strong enough to grant them spots on the Council their mom was a witch/werewolf hybrid and she drew on her power as a wolf to strengthen her witch's magic. During the days before, after and on the full moon her magic and transformed beast was near impossible to stop or resist, their dad is a vampire whose mind control ability could cover an entire village. While ordinary vampires could only mind control anywhere between two to ten humans at any given time and soon his mind control ability began affecting other vampires and some werewolves. Because of this when Simone and Stephen were born all the Councils were eager to see what their powers were, Simone turned out to be a vampire/witch hybrid, while Stephen was a vampire/werewolf hybrid. Simone could use her vampiric blood to enhance her magic, while Stephen however had the same mind control ability as his dad, but Stephen on a larger scale can influence the thought of any human, vampire or werewolf. Stephen can also bite any supernatural being and make them into hybrid thralls, no matter their race.
