A Festival Where It Rains Blood

As the sun rises for a new day filled with morning dew. Vincestreet High was having an awesome atmosphere ever since and they all had their class periods exchanged with an activity.

Yes, it was time for the preparation for the graduation ceremony but customs have it as they all celebrate it like a festival.

Different classes have already gathered up in discussing what to present or what their activity would be that very day as well as putting up a wonderful ceremony for the graduating seniors.

It was the same for class 2D. They all have gathered up and were in a midst of what seems to be a serious meeting or discussion. Well, to be quite honest and realistic, it is known that in every class discussion, with a teacher, prefects, student councils or even within the students, most ideas and topics is always fated to be made fun of by a specific, infamous group, the backbenchers.

The fun was an ongoing one for everyone except for Velma who was in a tight spot as a junior student, from year 1 walked into the class and walked up to her while rendering a message to her, which simply was that the principal wants to meet with her and at that moment, she had a thought, which was, "I guess it's time to meet the congressman after all."

Taking the chance, she searched for Jixie who was busy bullying the backbenchers who were making jokes about the ideas brought up by their class representative.

Velma calls for her attention, which she received and as well as giving her an up-nod to know what's up, in which Velma replies with a left-nod.

"Be careful out there and make sure to share the sweetest desserts with me or either, the after results." Said Jixie.

"I got you, alright? I'll be definitely back in a jiffy." Velma replies as she lets the junior to lead her to the principal's office.

As Velma gets to the door, she knocked with a sign of hesitation and a voice could be heard behind the door, which said, "please do come in."

Adhering to the voice, Velma obeyed and came inside the office. As she shut the door, before her were two men; one sitting and the other standing beside the one sitting. The one sitting looked like he was in his forties while the one standing was obviously in his seventies.

To her knowledge, she was told that the principal was elderly and the congressman she has seen through the news was very similar to the one sitting. At that moment, Velma was so sure that it was the congressman looking for her presence but then, what is his agenda?

If it's according to her concluded thoughts, it would be regarding yesterday's event and her indirect involvement in spoiling every of his plans.

Being lost in thought, she suddenly snapped back to reality, only to find out that the congressman, with his hand gesture, signaled her to have the seat in front of the desk, which she immediately did.

"Hmm, Miss. Velma Devon, a student who got transferred into this school on the first week of May. Instigated a fight with Amon with the reason that he molested a friend of hers, which everyone in the school describes as a tomboy, capable of defending herself.

Again, got into a brawl against Ken Leinster and his gang. His reason being that you embarrassed one of his crewmates, Amon Kaltz, in front of his classmates.

Also and of course, surprisingly, the brawl took place on the same day when Amon's dead body was found in the old abandoned school building and reported by one of his friends the next day.

So to go straight to the point, coming back from the supposed brawl with blood stained school uniform and custom made steel baseball bat, are you the one who killed the deceased, Amon Kaltz?" the middle aged man asked with a curious facial expression, leaning forward on the table with fingers locked with each other, elbows on the desk, supporting the head through the lower jaw.

"Sorry Mr. but if I may ask, who are you to ask such mystery like questions, the police? Or am I missing something ....... an introduction?" Velma boldly asked.

"Oh, where are my manners, I am really sorry miss Velma, do excuse me for the late introduction. You can address me as this high school's very owner and proprietor." The middle aged man replied with a smirk.

"So you are trying to say that you are actually the congressman, Mr. Steve Davidson? Well, since you are him, you are indeed allowed to know about the incident of this very school of yours." Velma responded and could catch the visible confusion written all over his face before she continued,

"Actually, my answer is no and of course, allow me to do the honours of finishing the report that is left of me. Got confronted by Don and even stood against the Gangster Hood with the claim of being the school's students' president.

Did I kill Don? No I didn't. Are you trying to become this school's students' president? It seems interesting so why not.

And while we are it, let's make a trade, how much is it for me to acquire the twelve gangs of Randiel State ranking list?"

Hearing her trade request made the congressman to laugh out loud for long period of time before getting back into his calm composure. He sighed, brought out his briefcase, opened it, brought out a red file and placed it on the table and replied,

"Only under two conditions, which are; become this school's students' president and with the aid of the returned GEORGE, create havoc into the rankings, if you can do so."

"Now, that's a deal." Velma responded to the conditions and offered a handshake as she took the red file, which the congressman accepted and shook with her. She stood and walked out of the office while the two men watched her leave.

The congressman pulled out his mobile phone, dialed a number and had it ring. The call's receiver picked up the phone call and answered, "what is it again you bastard?"

"That is a bit harsh, don't you think so? Anyways, it's time to repay your debt to me. Our school is having a graduation ceremony in two weeks time, which will be in form of a festival. I have one request as I will send you your targets this time around, please, despite what the students want, I want a bloody festival. To be more specific, Jamie, I want it to rain blood that very day." The congressman requested.

"Fuck! Fine. I really do feel sorry for your students but a debt is a debt. If you are looking for a festival where it rains blood, a bloody festival you shall have." Jamie answered as he cuts the call.
