Chapter 190: Piper: Liars

Mid-air, I slammed into my sister, and we plummeted to the ground. I hit the earth with a deafening crash, and my dragon screamed in protest. I shook off the pain and shifted back into my human form. By the time I was on my feet, Sophie was human again, too, and she rushed toward me.

"You lied to me!" I shouted, face red with anger. "You betrayed me."

"Yes, I lied to you, but I did not betray you, Piper," she said with a fervent shake of her head.

"Yes you did!" I roared and lunged at her. "Because of you, Jax is dead."
